It is.

Let me give you a very simple example I had to face: Psychosis (my case, a lack of motivation to do everything because of dopamine level too low).

For someone on the right, this is something you can overcome by willpower. You will often see them say "get out to the sun", "just do sport", "force yourself to be active", "if you want, you can overcome this" , "walk in your city".

For someone on the left, this is something that demands a treatment and a guidance. "Do small thing first" "try to wash a plate and note in a diary how you are proud of yourself to have done this", "try to put a reward to go out" "just go to your backery and come home and note this is your diary"

As you can see there is a difference in term of apprehension of the reality. While the rightist will see your health as something you can conquer, the leftist know that its not that simple.

I had to face that dychotomie for years.

And you can see that in real life in real politic descision.

- Capitalism is the epitome of willpower, its the myth of the strong man that can become rich by himself and overcome his environment.
At the opposite:
- Universal salary enters in opposition to the concept of will, it understands that to flourish, people needs first to be free from the low income risk.
do you quote me to get my attention??
Yes, you got me UwU:neesama:

The world does not revolve around your (or anyone else's)personal problems, with all due respect. You can't apply one medical example to the political world.

This was just an example. You will find that type of reasonning everywhere.

You need to understand that I'm not saying that there is a right and a left just because I want to oppose people. There is a right and a left because certains value enter in opposition and can't be mixed.

The will power is the major one. That's why One Piece is partly rightist but not because Oda is, just because the shonen support is constructed to favor this type of protagonist that overcome their environment by the sheer strenght of their will. Haki is literally will power.

And that's okay, I love One Piece anyway. I just know where the value come from.

I know my example won't explain everything perfectly but it's always good to remember that Winston Churchill who was bipolar became Prime Minister of the UK and won a Nobel prize of literature. I mean, he worked harder than most people to achieve that.

To be fair, he ain't totally wrong. But taking two very extremely different examples doesn't help.

Sometimes yes and sometimes no

What is this example trying to prove?

Logiko was implying that some, or many, mental-illnesses prevents people from having willpower.

My example proves that Churchill, who was bipolar, achieved more than most humans do in their lifetime despite having one of the worst mental-illness that exists.
I was talking about motivation and a specific illness. Will power is something that doesn't exist (at least for most materialist leftist like me)

He was not imho

Depends how we define success
