Manga Discussion Spy x Family

There's no fucking progression man...

This was THE PERFECT opportunity for some Might fall character development.

Loid could have actually heard her talk and things become awkward between them, or he outright rejects her etc

She actually gets hurt significantly and is out of commission for a long time instead of loid just popping back her fucking shoulder...

Or I'd have even taken the fucking crack theory that was Yuri and Nightfall ending up in the same hospital or something even if it doesn't make a lick of sense.

But we got none of that. Nightfall is still her Yandere jealous self.

And Yuri...

Yuri suspicions lead no where and got waved off by Loid having Mission impossible level of tech in the 60's.

Would have been better if Yuri didn't come to visit Yor at all and his suspicions actually grew slowly.

I don't know where Endo is taking us. But we sure as hell ain't getting there any time soon. :josad:

Great chapter tho :peperain:

Great chapter! Little disappointed this is going to result in another... Inch forward on the "Loid is a spy" plot line. But fun nonetheless.
To be fair, it would be unrealistic for something that has been Twilight's only reality (being a spy, I mean) faces little obstacles to be crumbled just in one arc.

That plotline is in for the long haul because it is directly related to his character development in the long run.

I think Endo is careful enough not to install any plotlines that does not serve the story.

For example, how would Twilight knowing Fiona is in love with him and then reject her serve the story?

Also, pretty sure WISE is wise enough (pun intended) to not have one of their top agents recuperate in the same institute where a known Ostanian asset like Yuri is also recovering.

And that MI tech has been around since Chapter 1, dude. :milaugh:

Even if Yuri visits the Forgers later, the result would still be the same. Endo probably wants that out of the way. :myman:

And, as we can see, the gunshot wound is not yet healed. Their Spiderman/Green Goblin moment can still happen later. :funky:

But I want progression now :josad:

We've been going in circles with no real ground gained in anything so far :peperain:

Anya and Damian are getting closer as friends lovers

So I'm expecting a timeskip down the road therefore operation strix is in good hands and in for the long haul for that Plan C.
Timeskip is a possibility, but I think a TS is closer to being reality once we are either in or at least inching closer to a Mr and Mrs Smith situation with the Forgers.

Oh yeah I forgot the handler was a mother herself, her age is hidden for a reason so she could honestly be in her 50s and be the grandma of the group. Hahaha
I doubt Handler is any younger than around 44-45, tbh.

I mean, we all know Twilight was 17 when he joined the army. This was around 5-7 years after the war started. He was in the army several years before the intelligence agency told him that his gig was up and recruited him. We saw Handler was his mentor and he was trained for several years. By the start of the story, Twilight said he's already been a spy for 10 years. So he is around, give or take, 33.

Handler already had a husband and a kid when the war started. Several is at least 3. Assuming the gap between Twilight's losing his family and getting into the army was 5 years, we got:

5 (from the start of the war to Twilight joining the army)
3 (Twilight in the army)
3 (Twilight being trained as a spy)
10 (Working as a spy)

A grand total of 21 years.

Handler's kid was Anya's age (4). Assuming she married young, like 18 or 19, she should be 23-24 when the war started and is around 44-45 now.

Also, I just noticed, since SXF is set in 1962, that means 21 years prior to the story is 1941. In our world, 1941 was the year when Operation Barbarossa took place. In SXF, 1941 was when Ostania vs Westalis War happened. Interesting.

I actually wish Endo would highlight how the SXF world is outside of Europe, if only in the news. I wanna know what the story's Asian and American counterparts are.
