I don't think it has to be. He just wasn't around, doing his own thing while BM was O-lin. It's bee a few days since then.

Doesn't explain why he was nowhere to be seen during BM's arrival to Wano and her fight with Kaido.
That's just too convenient for him to be absent during these events and to appear suddently now, especially as the amnesia plot could have been avoided if he was there when King attacked the Queen Mama Chanter.

Aiight never mind, we got bad info. The last page is them indeed meeting Luffy.
I need Luffy and Ulti/Pay Pay interaction. P1 being an emo otouto after he was introduced as this zoan beast is one of the best character subversions we've had in a while. More focus on them is always welcome.
