I'm not going to defend the Oden shit, that's pure BS from Oda, not that i expected any quality plot in the remainder of this arc. I just want to see the fights and this arc to end.

However, you can't compare the portrayal Oda gave Whitebeard and Big mom. Big mom was clowned so many times, it's absolutely beyond redemption.

What is telling you that he didn't know, as opposed to the possibility of reasons for not wanting to go? A crewmate who left him got killed by another former crewmate. At the very least it makes as much sense as Sabo or the Monkey family not seeking revenge for what's already happened.

Lol, I give zero fucks at this piont. I'm just following the logic of the posters here. Instead of blaming Oda's no logic writing, they project plot stupidity, bad writing and inconsistency on a character instead of blaming the author from greatly deviating from the true portrayal of a character just for the sake of plot.

For people saying Kaido was "weaker" when he fought Oden. I'm thinking the Yonko might have been STRONGER 20 years ago. These guys seem to have only fought fodder for 20 years, and their skills atrophied over the year. WB doesn't even know what the f Kaido is, doing let alone fighting him.

There was even a line by Perospero, confirming Big Mom has gotten fat and slow, and that Big Mom used to be much more "nimble" in her prime.
