- factual vice captain
- second strongest right after Luffy
- Adv CoC like Luffy
- GOAT Luffy's right hand man
- parallel with Rayleigh who is a monster
- future World's Strongest Swordsman
Not bad I'd say...
Really love how Zoro's portrayal is different
Not only the Advanced Conqueror thing, the Rooftop and the other things everyone noticed
But sometimes Oda hints at Zoro's greater strength compared to other Strawhats in a nice subtle way
You need help to fight someone?
You call the strongest friend you have
The Strawhats need help to fight someone?
They have many crewmembers to rely on...
But the one they call is Zoro
The one who is essential is Zoro
Only him and no one else
Not that I realy care but I will revive this. It hit different when someone like lucci spell it out, zoro the 2 of yonko luffy which mean he is all the following: vice captain and right hand of yonko luffy, the shadow emperor basically.
Liveaction is it’s own thing. The showrunner likely pushed for that shit cause he’s a Zoro fanboy.
The only canonical material that matters is the source material, the manga itself. Even the author is limited is to an extent on what their word means once it’s in black and white.
In this instance, neither the manga nor the author designate Zoro as being second in command.
The SHP do not function like ordinary crews. They never have, and they never will.

Adaptations to live action TV are no more relevant or revealing than changes in stage plays.
Zoro stans are exceptionally deluded, that is nothing new, but holding up the live action series as some kind of smoking gun you were right all along is some next level delusion, on par with Zoro Kills Kaido.

Zoro is the number 2 and partner of a yonko, the vice captain on top of being the strongest commender by far, also is among the very strongest having mastered his advanced armement and conqueror coating which put him on top tier territory like rayleigh. To top it he is now a master swordsman like oden was in his prime currently, a brute swordsman with monstruous haki that can put fear in the hearts of the emperors themself.
Yes and no. The reason we refer to stories as material is because once the story is written, it’s written, it becomes an undeniable piece of the fabric. There is some grey area in that authors can clarify meanings or point out perhaps what was too subtly buried, but ultimately, all that matters is what’s on the page, and if it’s not there, it’s simply not there.
Authors can revisit and add to the tapestry, but until they do, theirs words are just wind.
For example, if you read a novel about a man who does something heinous to someone, and the author comes out after the fact to say X and Y is why such and such did so and so because this or that reason - that’s great for the author, but it’s not in the material until they add it.

The last chapter straight up called zoro the number 2 after emperor luffy in term of hierarchy you dont need other materials for that unless you want to debate the author.

stfu, my post is directed toward the haters. If you understand that zoro is vice captain then congrat some still think its up in the air and there is nothing that can be done for them since the author cant convince them either. Luffy is the yonko like buggy is yonko, zoro is number two in command like mihawk is number two in command. its just hierarchy, power wise even yonkos are shit scarred of ZORO.

You know for a fact that Oda personally approved that change? No.
You know for a fact that even if Oda allowed for liberties with the live action, that means it applies to the source material? No.
Some of you are letting your fanboy emotions take priority over facts.
It is simply a matter of fact that Zoro is not the first mate, not the second in the command, and not the vice captain. You can debate that with Oda if you like, but the man has neither said nor written as much.
