Character Discussion Thoughts on Killer

#10
A loyal subordinate willing to fight Kaidou alongside his Captain despite tough odds of victory, level headed, grasp about opponents abilities(reads em well) and think things through like proposing an Alliance. Also took on weak Smile for his Captain sake(knowing it won't do him any good), and became Orochi tool to kill random people in Wano, despite laughing uncontrollably the very same thing he always had issue with, makes him quite an interesting character.

His fighting style is also good, more so with those scythes, he appeared insane while carelessly moving in those scythe and those moves, something very Original that Oda often don't do. At the same time i was quite disappointed from him as a fighter. Now that it is confirmed he was nerfed, maybe Oda can redeem him somewhat.

The more I think about him the more interesting he gets. Like a lot of people might quickly go to what seems like an established contradiction between his epithet and his character... but he was totally willing to cut down a little girl to get the job done. The ability to reason (and compromise) is treated as a liability in the world of pirates, but that doesn't get him written off.

He's a good foil for Zoro because he's just as important for his captain, but provides a complement rather than a supplement. Selfish yet selfless vs ruthless yet selfless. At first I didn't like that the smile fruit thing goes toward Kid's character rather than Killer's, but that is how his character works. At least until it's necessary, he doesn't trip over something like that and it makes him stronger. He's a supporting crew's supporting crew, and as a right hand man only Katakuri makes for a better character outside of the Straw Hats.

The strength hierarchy for SNs is shit though

- Capone is underrated because his DF doesn't operate to serve in singles combat. But Big Father took the kind of damage that wrecked Queen and armored Hyo when Big Mom wasn't even at her best

- Law is completely OP until his opponent decides not to give a shit

- Hawkins looks invincible... until you get past his dummies. How does he even set up those contracts?

- Zoro and Killer had a completely situational fight

- Drake looks consistent but has only been teased

Apoos attacks are unblockable making haki useless...

Apoo is easier to get. Either you flee and he technically wins, you stay there trying to avoid his attacks and he dick kicks you while you're distracted, or you tank his attack (high level opponents) to strike him down. You can probably beat him if you go in prepared, but that's not generally a thing that happens.

Killer like most other supernova had a lot of potential then the timeskip happened.
If I remember correctly he had a 160m bounty. That was pretty huge. The timeskip and the recent arcs haven't been good to him given the whole smile fiasco. Still I like that he is always portrayed as a level headed intelligent character unlike someone we all know.
