Luffy joined the Marineford War essentially as an ally, dedicating his support to Whitebeard. The war was still Whitebeard's battle against the Marine headquarters, so technically speaking, Luffy, who is a brother of one of Whitebeard's sons, only managed to free him with Whitebeard's support. Whitebeard even lent his support to Luffy instead of himself and entrusted the task of freeing Ace to Luffy.

You can fight the admirals too but they're much much weaker in comparison. Though, they're definitely stronger than most of the other characters.

Put 3 admirals in a game against Whitebeard... and then watch what happens. He will destroy all 3 of them.

Even if Sengoku is the one who ordered Akainu to use deceptive strategies that just makes it worse.

If it was just Akainu wanting to do it, then that's one thing.. but Sengoku ordering him to do it means the entire Navy believed it needed to use a covert operation intended to deceive the enemy to deliver a fatal blow before they engaged him in direct combat at a final showdown. It's a coward move and quite an obvious one. You only do that sort of thing if you are fighting a superior force and you are expecting to lose.

Yup, they talk about Kizaru being restrained, but what about Luffy needing to protect others ? That is a much worse restrain as seen, he took hits to protect, which he took them like boss.

This implied they had this card and they played it .
It was never shown to be needed its more like Why not use this ? People are fighting to the death so why not give our side an advantage ?

doing a pretty bad job in that without kizaru not caring about the straw hats franky and usopp would be dead already.
