Either you're ignorant to the situation or just massively evil. These people were there first. They can't leave gaza and have had to endure violence coming from the Israeli state for decades now. Peaceful protest doesn't work, the west doesn't give a shit, what are they supposed to do?
People don't really care about stuff that doesn't directly concern them.I don't see many people here crying about Ukraine now that the media isn't covering it like it used to.

So I guess the 2 million people living in Gaza are all terrorists and therefore they should die. Funny how you ignore how Israeli authorities have been murdering Palestinians for years now and kicking them out of their homes, where was your indignation then?
Remember when the Mossad was seen as the best spy agency on the planet ? Since the far-right took power over there, they stopped preventing any attacks.
My best friend(who's jewish btw) thinks that they didn't prevent it so that they'd have a justification to genocide the palestinians. I don't like to be conspiratorial, but I see why he thinks that.
Surely the Ayatollah isn't stupid enough to do that.

I feel like israel has forced itself into an impossible situation.
They want to be a jewish ethnoreligious state. However they also want to be a western democracy.
The issue with all of this is that Israel cannot be all these things at once. Gaza is under occupation. By all means, the state of israel should be responsible for the governance of this land, but that's not how people talk about it. You see that with shit like "Israel has the right to defend itself" type rhetoric. Yeah Israel has the right to defend itself, but they literally control that land, why can't they govern it effectively?
Well the reason is because, if you went in and you made all the people in gaza israeli citizens and you put that land under Israeli law and order, then it would threaten the status of Israel as a "jewish state". And that's why they won't do it.
Its the same thing with the west bank. The israelis want the land of the judaea and samaria due to its importance in judaism, but they don't want the people, because it would threaten israel's "demographic integrity".
Israel has two choices:
Be a full blown jewish theocracy and give all people in the land equal rights under jewish law.
be a secular democracy
But unfortunately, israel has chosen a much worst option. To turn itself into an apartheid state.

I feel like a monarchy would be a good compromise to the situation. Monarchy was how Islam was able to rule over india despite being a minority.
> make judaism the state religion
> have the monarchy marry a jewish israeli to someone from one of the arab royal families of the middle east
> include specific protections in the constitution for Christians, Muslims, and Druze, so everyone has equal rights
basically make Israel like the Mughal empire.
Alternatively they could just have a western democracy, but idk how successful that would be in the region. I feel like israel offers a type of security to the jewish people that they won't just willingly relinquish. Plus I wouldn't be surprised if, were the palestinians to gain power(as they would in a democracy), they might do some pretty awful stuff to the israelis in revenge for the past decades.
Stuff like that did happen in certain african countries. I think in uganda or zimbabwe, there was some sort of expelling of whites and indians once africans took power.

Yeah, that wouldn't work.Israel needs to keep its current ethnological composition to keep social cohesion. They should just withdraw from occupied lands and recognize Palestine.

Proportionally, they are correct. This many casualties in a small country like this is a lot. Many people will know someone that got directly affected by the violence.
