Even if doubt make you weaker it did not stop Kizaru from trying Kill VP 3 times and luffy taking hits for it .
plus this was not even a fight where can doubt matter since it was cat and mouse and stall each other so the plot can get them out the way .

Yes because imo Kuma is the one with the actual dream while Bonney's main drive is to see her father alive. Maybe its 50/50 shot, idk, but some points:

- Kuma directly has been concepted and involved in the series for decades. Bonney was created, according to Oda, last minute in Sabaody. She has only become relevant this very arc. Kuma was involved heavily in TB, Sabaody (the crews loss), Marineford, the timeskip and now.

- He is the only other character, sans Jinbe, the crew has been directly indebted to.

- Its his tragic Flashback, not Bonney's technically

- His species as a human with Giant blood may be important to Elbaf.

- "Ship Guard" is actually a position lol, Nyaban brothers had it in Syrup Village. Guess what he did for 2 years as his final programming? His DF power also aligns with this mindset of repelling and protection.

- He fits the DF number theory

- He, just this chapter, seemingly got a dream involving becoming a warrior like Nika. It is...abstract like Jinbe's (eliminating oppression of his people), but its a dream nonetheless.


Just things to think about lol. Im not so sure he's gonna die tbh. Too much tragedy already for his character, but maybe Im wrong.
