yes but the thing is those other character go on and do something big washing away that shame while Sanji never does it

I'm not defending Oda. But if you're talking about Sanji's plus minus in every arc, it's balanced in some way.

In PH his leg got cracked, but he's able to save Kin in Nami's body. No Kin, no PostTS arcs.
In DR he got nodiff by Doffy, but before that he managed to turn Viola that eventually help the SH and save the WCI group & Caesar.
In WCI he got smacked around by Germas, but we got the feeding BM scene & blitzing Oven.
In Wano King almost kill him, but he saved Momo.

Basically there's always some balancing to compensate, it's just not fight/battle focused, so people overlook it.

In FI, Sanji was already embarassing:
- spending the arc with lame nosebleed
- tag team with Jinbe

It is not as bad as Punk Hazard onwards, but FI was the start of the downfall.

Sanji fans are right tho, Zoro did block it for a moment, and got all of his bones broken (still impressive). Sanji is fine, clearly Saturn has some hax ability like many other characters in the story.

There was never any such thing as the monster trio, this was a complete fan made idea. Luffy and Zoro have always paralleled Roger and Rayleigh, Lanji never even fit into the equation.. It was confirmed a long time ago and fans should have already known.

Although I have to say in Lanji's defence, he didn't get completely humiliated. He seems to have tanked the hit quite well with only a minor injury which is a decent showing given that Saturn is a complete unknown and no one knows what they're dealing with.

However we can still add this panel to the same category as Lanji breaking his leg against Vergo, Lanji getting lol-diffed by Doflamingo, Lanji getting clapped by Judge and Lanji crying after Pudding cucked him.

The fact is at the end Zoro and Sanji fight equally strong opponents. That's just objectively true, and there is no denying that. Oda won't change that 25 years later.

Number 2 and number 3, not equally strong guys. The only ones that can be argued about are Kaku and Jyabura and even with them it's debatable beyond their dourikis.
