the next chapter (if isnt flashback chapter), its a perfect time for Sanji to "shine".
but i think if the flashback continues, then Kuma most likely will save Bonney and die a hero way.
Sadly I think this flashback will be quite long, perhaps even 4-5 chapters. I'm not against good flashbacks but somehow they seem to be starting always in the worst possible moment for us.

At least a month before the fucking ancient robot does Sanji's job and I can change my name to something like "Go to hell Oda" :hope:

If sanji not saving bonnnry he not shining he’s literally the person who wanted to save her he already failed his mission
Luffy fights Lucci, then Zoro fights him

Luffy fights Kizaru, now Sanji fights him? :quest:

The robot and Kuma will certainly have a role here against Saturn, which makes me believe Sanji will have to share his role with them if they are going to fight or something

You're just falling into Zoro fans projecting, its all agenda bro

See, this comment sums up my point. He needs to come here and pretend anything that happens to Sanji is extremely bad for him so he can keep the agenda going strong. If Sanji does something worth of praise, he obviously wont give any praise, by any means. Nothing new or surprising about it here, just your casual fandom agenda.

Zoro fans started downplaying the Admirals as soon as Zoro didn't fought one, so that way the Admirals can look weak, thus Zoro can look strong. A few weeks ago they wanted Sanji to fight Lucci to fit agendas, now they are wanking Lucci because he is fighting Zoro

They tell people that to make them feel better overall, deep inside there were a lot who dropped or stopped enjoying the manga like they used to do because of Wano, and obviously due Zoro's role in it, people laughing on their takes and consequently laughing at Zoro's character has no difference from what happens to Sanji depending the circumstances. The same has happened with and is done by Sanji fans, and what they have in common is: They have passed years building a lot of expectation to desperatly fit whatever agendas.

Luffy has bad showings, Zoro has bad showings, Sanji has bad showings. Luffy's bad showings are overcome by his best showings, that doesn't even compare to what Zoro and Sanji show for most of the time

But when we talk about Zoro and Sanji, Zoro's whole existence revolves around fighting, the average fan will always feel like "Well, i think i should wank the swordsman who wants to be the WSS, more than the cook who can fight, doesn't matter what happen".

An example: Zoro easily beats a character that narratively shouldn't pose a real threat Sanji or Zoro, for example. Instead of that being an W for Zoro, they try to make it an L for Sanji
:suresure:

So Sanji's good showings, portrayal and feats tend to be more left behind in comparison, but waaay more by those who don't want Sanji to be strong, relevant and stuff, in the story (aka Zorotards, who have agendas to fight for, or only average people who don't like the character), while at the same time they try to zoom in on Sanji's bad showings to somehow try to make them 100x worse than they actually are. One Piece is a big fanbase and some fandoms are pretty vocal
:goyea:
Please add Nika transformation properties to your profile pic, the laughing monkey is perfect

Lol people really never learn

Sanji just look like he should be looking at this moment

At the end of the day he will fight someone strong and defeat fucking strong people

who cares if fucking Saturn is looking good during on entrance and his first set of attacks ?
This ch has me looking forward to what's next for Sanji

Like he's still in good shape
Not in Germa
No fire

He didn't even atk yet

We are sitting good

One more thing
Even Sanjis 3d2y guide was in the ch

Like this arc doesn't still have stuff for Sanji in it

Great Open
Now I expected for what's next

It's obvious Sanji is going to do something after the flashback. Oda had him go down from the dome above to the Fabrio phase down below for a specific reason, not to stand around yelling Bonney in every panel like he's doing these last couple of chapters. I hope at least.

My problem is Oda pulling this tired plot of Sanji wanting to save some damsel, but then he fails and get caught in a stupid trap practically every arc. I know it's Oda's fault for being an unoriginal hack but it's not a good look for Sanji. It makes him look like a useless dumbass that needs saving every f-in arc.

I hope at least Sanji ends up clashing with either Saturn or Kizaru after this fiasco of falling into trap for the N'TH damn time and hopefully looking good meanwhile.

However, I'm very sure Oda will not have him look at least half competent by freeing himself with his own power from SAturn, but either the Robot or Luffy will save his stupid ass after Bonney sings that stupid drum sound (the stupidest plot device ever conceived imo, now every time Luffy gets his ass beat he'd just need someone oppressed to make drumming sound and voila he's back at full power again).

I'm also afraid Sanji's just going to run away with the injured Bonney in his arms and maybe clash with some VA nobodies on the way out WCI style and that's all Oda planned for him to do.

I definetly think that some of you guys are reacting more to the slander of Sanji than to the actual chapter content. It being overblown by a small but loud part of the OP fanbase says more about those specific fans and their relation to Sanji's character and all that entails(jealousy, insecurity etc). The smallest crumbs of a Sanji "bad" moment will satisfy their intense hunger for a long time, lol. Literally no big deal happened to Sanji, nor was this a hypetool moment. If Oda intended to hypetool Sanji then he'd just be defeated. But instead Oda had to come up with a contrived way to immobilize the group for the purpose of keeping Sanji unable to move and utilize his speed. Sanji is thus here for other more important reasons than hyping Saturn.

We have an EOS villain Gorosei here, with a yonko and an admiral in a sorry state laying at his feet, to further emphasize Saturn's portrayal. But Sanji taking a headshot from him and being perfectly fine afterwards is seemingly the end of the world. Saturn had to of course show off his frightening level, and I for one am glad that Sanji is here where the plot thickens, as opposed to engaging in a catfight:catsure:or carrying boxes(Jinbei watyu doin man:feelscryingman:). Folks, don't let the hate get to you, it's what they want more than anything, sad to say.

Sanji will shine.

Stay bro, I'll buy you a virtual coffee.

He’s barely standing holding on for dear life
Are you confusing Sanji with Luffy? You're talking as if Sanji's dying, but as far as I can tell only Luffy is in bad shape due to his weird limiter while the other seem relatively fine now but are just frozen by Saturn's demon hack.

I'm more concerned about whether or not Oda can end this arc on a satisfying conclusion, because so far its been a really big mess since the fights started. A lot of skipping, offscreening, poor pacing, really poor decisions and awkwardly placed flashbacks makes me wonder if Oda is suffering from overwork or of his editor just doesn't seem to give a heck and is just saying yes to every decision. And the art quality is a sign that Oda really needs to take a longer break after his eye surgery or let his assistants do most of the work before the art gets any worse.

Taz made a huge impression on the audience for his portrayal of Sanji. Dude did a phenomenal job
And with half the screentime:yearight:
I'm still sad they didn't give him a curly brow, but Taz was really cool as Sanji in the LA.
I hope the story will keep on being adapted in the best way possible. Cannot wait to see Mr.Prince!

Fair I guess.
But those are ridiculous expectations. What they got in canon was just fine.
It's fine for some but most are mad about their roles in respective arcs.

As for me, I personally don't care for Sanji vs Katakuri or anything like that in WCI, but Sanji didn't even get his own 1v1 fight which makes folks mad even more for a supposed to be "Year of Sanji".

As for baking the cake thing, Sanji haters suddenly thinks this is a shit showing from Sanji even though Sanji's primary role is a cook?

It's like Sanji haters expects Sanji to be a blonde Zoro or some shit Lmao.
