Yeah, like Aokiji that before (almost) chapter 1100 probably didn't throw a single punch in the entire manga and then we discovered he was a brawler?

Everyone has an opinion about Aramaki's blade and that's fine, but:

- the sword is black/dark in the manga chapter and official (revised) volume;

- we haven't seen Aramaki's serious style at all, just like we did with Kizaru's "guard" and Aokiji's CQC before their big fights.
And we have seen Kizaru and Aokiji much more than Aramaki.

Okay so at the very least we both can agree that the blade in the manga isn’t plain colored whether or not it is a black blade

Like if in the anime the blade for some reason plain steel colored the whole time it doesn’t somehow mean it’s more canon than the actual manga itself

However, if the anime outright draws white the sword that in the manga was twice black/dark (original chapter and then official volume), then that just talks about anime reliability.
