Gakushou and Fuuon realize the Akou army is targeting Riboku, but Akou keeps attacking them as his army moves to surround Riboku. Riboku calls for Futei’s unit to attack. Akou’s troops have them significantly outnumbered and aren’t worried about their appearance. Futei tells Riboku they need to retreat but Riboku declares they won’t retreat until they take Akou’s head and orders Futei to join the duel with Akou. Futei’s unit is getting beaten hard but they’re trying to hold the line.
Sou’ou and Shiryou realize it must be Riboku in the woods and remember how he killed Makou. Denrimi and Ousen seem worried about Akou.
Fuuon is confused because Akou seems to have lost consciousness but is still fighting back when Futei makes his attack.
Flashback with Ousen having beaten and tied up Akou, telling him about creating his own kingdom. Akou asks if he’s crazy but Ousen retorts that it’s the current kingdoms that are crazy. Ousen says it’s ridiculous that Akou’s kingdom was destroyed by Qin and now he has to fight for and swear loyalty to Qin to keep living. So he should swear loyalty to Ousen instead. Akou calls that method ineffective and questions how much strength there is in loyalty gained through threats. Ousen acknowledges that and apologizes saying that he’s clumsy in these situations. He promises that he will at least never raise his hand to his subordinates. Then Ousen tells Akou to join him. “It’s going to be a long road ahead.”
Akou sends Futei flying. “I am the first general of the Ousen Army, Ousen-sama’s right arm! I’m supporting the greatest man in all of China and I won’t be defeated so easily!” Akou tells his soldiers to ignore him and kill Riboku while Futei’s unit is reaching its limit. Gakushou declares he’ll kill Akou and asks Riboku to retreat. Riboku calls for the retreat and says he leaves the fate of Akou and the central battle to him. Akou says it’s their victory and to not let Riboku escape. Ousen and his adjutant realize Riboku is retreating. Akou orders his soldiers to immediately notify the Hi Shin Unit.
Ten receives the message that Akou is hunting down Riboku. She orders for the soldiers to call Shin and prepare to split their army.
