They became commanders of RA 14 years ago.

We have gap of 24 years during which Dragon took command of Sorbet kingdom and kuma and Ginny joined them ... That's a massive time gap.

Lots imo. His dad is Garp, and clearly theres tension there. Plus he and Akainu are the same age so it just feels like they absolutely have history (which imo will drive Luffy and him fighting specifically in the end, not that Dragon and Akainu cant clash)
