For the second quote you have about Akainu, I don't understand why that is relevant to the final saga.

chapter 1100 is partly about him becoming a cyborg, with going back to egghead at the end of the chapter

Excited for 1099, because this chapter implies his violent (well everyone's) nature is starting to come out, and Im convinced that he will brutalize this King and become "tyrant" Kuma before being a pirate/warlord.

Punk Hazard is meh, but my main problem is that to this day I have no idea why people wank Vergo so much.
Even outside of powerscaling he's just an annoying and dumb character to me.
iirc the dude didn't even have much of a personality either, he was just there to beat people up.

You know what's my main problem with Yonko saga?
It took the faults of Dressrosa like overbloated useless characters and did it on a much larger scale with Scabbards, Yakuza fodder, Diabetes & Zoo Pirates etc,. With 1-d Cartoon villains/heroes and even shitty ass flashbacks, it ruined the reading experience.

For a filler Saga to powerup Luffy from Gear 4 to Gear 5, to turn him from a Supernova to a Fifth Yonko to a real Yonko.
And that took 3 Haki Powerups in the middle.
Ultimately for a Filler Saga.

If Oda had the balls to kill off Kinemon and maybe one other Scabbard like Kiku (or maybe Izou was a good choice I guess), the Scabbards would be great characters.
But nah, he just couldn't do that, he had to make him survive Kaidou beating on him.
