From a narrative standpoint, there is literally no purpose that a continuation of Luffy vs Kizaru would serve lol

Saturn very clearly took over as the main villain, and the Kuma flashback has been setting up Luffy getting back up to show Nika's form to Bonney and Kuma

I think so too,the pain Akainu gave Kuma is enough to already handicap Saturn.All of that pain might just ko Saturn.

Yeah having Kuma become a slave so he can accumulate suffering to kill a gorosei would be the perfect ending to his story.

Allows him to get revenge on Saturn and makes “peace lover” a perfect name for PX-0 (which is the body on its way) as all the pain to Saturn would be practically self inflicted

I'm not a fan of the idea that Saturn dies this arc, would be weird to kill a member of the Gorosei so soon after they moved out unless Oda plans for Garling to take the seat.

Saturn is definitely built up in typical evil villain fashion bullying Kuma since childhood.
