Doesn't have to be related to taking over his body
Kenjaku's whole thing is that he's a mad scientist who looks forward to see what will happen if things that shouldn't be mixed end up mixing (simplified). He created Yuji as his pet project in part to host Sukuna and in part for his own schemes.
But imo taking over his body isn't something he covets considering Yuji's proficiency at cageing Sukuna (who is a stronger entity than Kenjaku).

Since it's all speculation at this point, I think his plan for Yuji was to brush off of Sukuna and his CT and see how well it blends with Yuji's custom made body. And then, once the merger is complete, whether Kenny's planned creation (Yuji) is stronger than a creation made out of pure chaos (the entity that will be born once the merger is complete)

I have a suspicion that Kenjaku will be gunning for Takaba or Yuta for their body unless there is a way for Kenjaku to somehow get back onto Geto’s body. I’m still very conflicted how Kenjaku “continues his will,” I wonder what backup plan he has and if there will be another person joining real soon in the fight to help Kenjaku against Yuta.

Imo to kill Kenjaku you gotta kill the brain and not the body it is in

That's why Kenny was making clear sentences and otherwise acting rather normal even though he was just a head - because he was completely fine (though still caught off guard)

Next chapter we'll probably see some barebones jujutsu mastery from both Kenjaku, as the wise mage, and Yuta, as the genius prodigy. Binding Vows, barriers, Domains - all that jazz

I have a huge suspicion that Geto will be getting his body back real soon. His head will be making its way back onto his body.

If it was me, if I am playing a game I can't win I just break the entire board.

So kenny is most likely gonna die but not before making sure everyone else suffers for it
