"This power knows no restraint"= Its a confirmed fact Mihawk was going all out 100% full power in MF (and against Vista and Luffy) he was using techniques and he was using haki and he was interested. Hugely. He was just that weak that whatever he did, didn't do shit to anybody and that's true like 500 chapters later he didn't have any scratches because he ran like a bitch the moment Shanks pulls off, bro was not trying to get any smoke, a "scratch" would've probs sent the dude to the hospital, which is why he ran tf out of there, also he didn't land any scratches to anybody either, not even BUGGY
Mihawk was using 100% of his power. But since his such a fodder, him using 100% is like shanks using 0.1%

That's exactly why the vegapunk lore scenes are kinda wasted as opportunity. He talked about that topic but sticked to devil fruits. Would've been nice if he had dropped at least one vague sentence about swords/objects as well as the mentioned manifestation.

If it turns out to be the same mechanism I'd consider it as bad writing by Oda.

We're going to learn about this (most likely) when we go to Elbaf. They're meant to be viking like, a spiritual and warrior race.

You don't know the definition of two shot. It means you took out your opponent with two hits. You put them in a condition they can no longer fight or continue fighting. Not, your opponent is down just for them to get up a few seconds later. Nobody claims the Scabbards oneshot Kaido because he was down for a few seconds after their combo attack.
