It's embarrassing to see how dumb anime fans can be, they just see "girl loves guy" and automatically think it has to mean an endgame ship while ignoring every bit of context unique to each pairing.

Hinata and Orihime were never disrespected or made out to be gag characters like Hancock and actually had really important moments with their respective MCs, no shit they got their guys in the end lol.

Renji and Rukia in Bleach never showed clear romantic feelings for each other, but it was clear they had amazing chemistry and Kubo paired them up in the end. There are tons of other examples of ships with good, mutual chemistry in other series too.
