Off the bat yes zoro us stronger than sanji and always will be at the end of the day. The color spread making it even more obvious since it’s 100% strength based

Imo I think sanji mirrors many top subordinates while zoro is above even that
Like for example if sanji mirrors “normal” right hand men
  1. King
  2. Rayleigh
  3. Killer
  4. Beckman
  5. Marco
  6. Kuma
Zoro would represent characters characters you would never expect to be subordinates like
  1. Yamato
  2. Oden
  3. Law
  4. Mihawk
  5. Ace
  6. Sabo
Idk if he’d be able to keep up tbh but if Jinbe does he’d be like
  1. Queen
  2. Scooper
  3. Bepo
  4. Roux or crocodile
  5. Jozu
  6. Ivankov

While yeah zoro and sanji mirroring Rayleigh and scopper is fine and dandy I think them mirroring oden and Rayleigh is even more impressive
Tho again while I love Jinbe it’s difficult to imagine what oda could do to help him grow that much especially when on land.

Or Zoro and Sanji are just unique and trying to force parallels just gets convoluted.

Oda showed us in Wano, Zoro and Sanji are luffys wings. Parts that are greatly associated with freedom. Zoro is the right hand and Sanji the left.

Zoro defeated King at the right brain tower and cut of kings right wing.
Sanji defeated Queen at the left brain tower and destroyed Queens left arm.

When Oda showed us Nika for the first time he also had a sword (Zoro) in his right hand and a spear (Sanji) in his left hand.

It was a very deliberate showing in wano.

The OP Red movie opened my eyes and made me realize that the cook and Jinbei share some parallels, Lucky Roo was paired with Jinbei but he's also the cook, Gaban is part of a metal trio but he's also the helmsman. Little details.
