Aight, I’m really starting to think that even Oda himself doesn’t know what he’s talking about in these yearly missives…like, he knows he can say “the battle between THAT character and THAT character when Luffy goes to THAT place” and the fandom will (incorrectly) fill in the blanks because each instance of “THAT” can refer to a variety of people, places, and other plot points he’s tossed into the mix over the decades; he doesn’t actually have to envision anything specific, he’ll get there sooner or later in the creative process and we’ll accept the supposed “fact” that he had it all mapped out from the jump. Been writing this fucking story for close to 30 years and he still has to play coy, fuckin’ embarrassing…
Shanks vs BB maybe where shanks loses.

Thats the biggest lame bullshit of all.
Its not lmao, you fully know well that everyone defaults to Blackbeard defeating Shanks because everyone thinks the Dumbledore/Jiraiya trope absolutely needs to also happen to Shanks, even though he isnt remotely Luffy's mentor.

I could show you multiple polls that show people believing Blackbeard will win overwhelmingly from nothing but personal bias.

@Akai2 @mly90

let us fight over this "thing" and that "thing"...:suresure:

on serious note, if Oda not bluffing Egghead may as well lead to brutual defeat of SHP akin to Saboady
Therefore we are not going to Elbaf as I always said

Yes. I think the whole world knowing about Sun God's Nika's return and him defeating/fighting two top WG beasts like Saturn and Kizaru is definitely more "shocking" in OP world than Luffy losing.

Also, doesn't make sense to have Luffy lose his first major battle as a Yonko.
World already know since they saw Luffy white hair. But no one knows about Nika. So this is pointless.

And I guess the shocking would be the death of Vegapunk over Luffy's hands which they could make it seem like it was.
