Can’t tell if this was a good call or not. Chainsaw Man is already impossible to replicate in real life thanks to the concept of Devils and the abilities we see, but the humans and their expressions are pretty realistic. I don’t think cutting things like gags is necessary, unless it’s to save time.
Fujimoto incorporates a sense of both realism and fiction in his work, and I think that’s what helps make it stand out.
