The new episode was already finished months ago, back then the Anime was still nearly to the manga. I hope the large gap change it at all again and they can make a faster pacing, at least cover one full manga chapter for one episode would be enough.

Also they can add filler episode in the Oden flashback to make the gap even larger, they don´t need to cut off the chapter and make slow pacing.

This will probably come into effect during the climax of the arc like it did during WCI where 870 to 877 covered a full chapter each.

That pacing was beyond bad.

Let's face it: Long-running animes with one episode every week and the credo "1 manga chapter = 1 anime episode" are just a relic of the past (90s/00s).

All modern anime adaptations are doing seasons and man, it's just so much more enjoyable to watch. The animation quality and pacing alone is just light years ahead of all those oldschool long-running animes.

Anime nowadays is in a weird place. On one hand, the potential for animation has never been greater. On the other, anime conditions for huge swathes of the industry have arguably never been worse.

My hopes for the animations are obviously the bath scene Zoro vs Killer (but we should be safe it's going to be god tier) and Kawamatsu's entrance
