Chapter Discussion Kizaru was the appetizer for Luffy. Lets be real. The Saturn fight is the main event.

I think that Oda is writing a masterpiece in Egghead.

- Kuma and Bonney who have waited for Nika to appear are going to experience this for the first time in their lives.

- Luffy will defeat Saturn to free Kuma and Bonney, like Kuma promised to Bonney.

- Kuma will realize that he was right to put his faith on Luffy back in Sabaody. I can't wait to see Kuma and Bonney realize this, and Kizaru reacting to that.

- Saturn's defeat by Nika will bring the "light" to a lot of people and one of the first ones will be Kizaru, who may even side with Luffy during the fight.

- Thanks to Morgans, the news will say that Warrior of Liberation Nika is back and probably that Kizaru betrayed the World Government to side with him, the world will go nuts, this will shock everyone.

- The World will finally realize that there is "hope" out there, that there is light at the end of the tunnel, that they can go against the World Government. Not only mere citizens but mainly everyone: Shanks, Revolutionary Army...

- I think that this is what will trigger the Final War.

- All by revealing the secrets behind Devil Fruits (Nika) through Vegapunk and Saturn.

That's why I can't comprehend when people say that Nika is not defeating Saturn this arc. This goes beyond powerscaling and agendas.

Not at all. That would imply Kuma and Bonney's main enemy is Imu.
Kyros may have been an enemy of Doffy, but the more personal enemy was diamanté who killed scarlet and ruled the colosseum that Rebecca was chained in.

Similar with Law; yes Doffy is the big enemy that overall is the reason for Cora’s death, but the one who captured Cora, destroyed Law, and got Cora killed was Vergo.

Saturn and imu is similar imo. Where Saturns a very personal villain who led to the death and suffering, imu is the embodiment of why all of this happened and as the leader of the world government, Kuma was fighting Imu along with Ginny for years as a rev army commander.

"Luffy won't fight Saturn because he has no reason to fight him".

Also Luffy:
- Fought Lucci because he attacked Sentomaru and was going after Vegapunk
- Fought Kizaru because he was going after Vegapunk

- Fought Lucci before he attacked Sentomaru and the two have history

Luffy always gets an emotional connection to characters that he defeats. He still doesn’t know who Saturn is or what Saturn has done so unless Kuma injects his memories into Luffy, he still has no emotional connection to Saturn

I thought it was after Lucci attacked Sentomaru but it was after he attacked Vegapunk.

Changes nothing to what I said.

- Luffy fought Lucci because he attacked Vegapunk.

- Luffy fought Kizaru because he was going after his friends and tried to kill Vegapunk.

- Luffy will fight Saturn because he is trying to kill Kuma and Bonney.

Luffy was prepared to fight Kizaru the second Kizaru appeared on the island which was why luffy even said a strong one is here (weird he didn’t say the same for Saturn)

For Lucci, Luffy was getting ready to fight him before he even noticed atlas was knocked down. Of course since atlas gave him food Luffy went hard to beat his ass

You are forgetting things Yasheen, both Luffy and Kizaru were shocked when Saturn landed.

- Luffy fought Lucci to protect Vegapunk, that's what made him go Gear 5.
- Luffy fought Kizaru to protect Vegapunk, that's what made him go Gear 5.
- Luffy will fight Saturn to protect Kuma, Bonney and maybe Vegapunk too.

Source on Imu having anything at all to do with this? Seems like Saturn's personal projects as the gorosei of science.

The thing is, it’s too early for a gorosei to fall.

we’ve seen literally this exact same story format in WCI. Where you have two antagonists: Kata and BM. BM is the main antagonist but Kata is the one Luffy actually fights.

It’s literally the same thing with Saturn and Kizaru.
Post automatically merged:

Oda already gave us two ways in which Saturn will be stalled. First by Kuma, then by the giant robot.

you also have the mother flame reactor, which could be this arc’s wedding cake
"The resolution of this incident the following day.... Would inflict a kind of shock.... The World never saw coming."

"Kuma and the Giant Robot hold off a member of the Gorosei, while a Yonko runs away...."

Seems legit....

Seriously, go re-read the last few pages of chapter 1078, which emphasizes in detail how the Straw Hats are an unknown variable in all of this, and their inclusion is going to cause an incident that will shock the World.

What you are proposing is like, the most anticlimactic thing ever. That is not going to send the World into shock.

Egghead is the inversion arc of Sabaody. The arc where Luffy punched a Celestial Dragon, and it was reported to the World. What Oda is telling us, is that what Luffy does here, is going to make him punching a Celestial Dragon, pale in comparison.

THANK YOU.

People really don't understand the clear emphasis in chapter 1078 where the Straw Hats are the "unknown variable" in all of this.

Luffy coming to Egghead at the same time than Bonney, fate is a strange thing.

This is without forgetting that the Egghead Incident is Egghead being "under siege" because Luffy barricaded himself with Vegapunk as hostage.

The chain of events already started.

Kizaru went to the dome where Luffy barricaded himself as he was the only one able to enter it and he failed his mission.

Saturn had to land on Egghead because of this and he tried to kill Bonney, and now he may also try to kill Kuma.

Luffy will fight Saturn to free both Kuma and Bonney, this is the culmination of the incident.

The outcome is Saturn's defeat by Nika and "the legend of Nika" being announced in the news.

Kuma and Bonney who have both been waiting for Nika to free them.

Kuma who was surprised that Luffy, a guy with rubber powers, punched a Celestial, like his hero Nika.

Kuma who put his faith on Luffy in Sabaody because if the legend of Nika came to be true, he thought it would be Luffy.

Not to mention that Oda has already laid the groundwork for people to despise Saturn. This is when you have the villain get taken down, when emotions are at their highest. Nobody is going to be emotionally invested in the defeat of Saturn, 300 chapters from now.

And then what about the Nika liberating Kuma and Bonney plotline? Oda's just going to set up another one later down the line so he can fulfill it? That makes a whole lot of sense..... It's like, come on bruh......

We both know what is going to happen (and others do too).

I just find this so obvious that I don't understand how people can't see it.

Some people would bring in 100 uncovered plots to explain how the Egghead Incident is not Saturn's defeat when everything has been built towards it, they are ignoring the elephant in the room.

I guess we gotta be patient and wait.

He didn't have an emotional connection with Katakuri or Hody lol.

Heck. Arguably even Doflamingo or Kaido. Enel. Or..

Or hell. That emotional connection is something you made up.

You’re wild if you think oda doesn’t write emotional connections when it’s the sole reason characters like Tama, Brownbeard and the kids, Rebecca, Conis, and just about every minor character luffy meets early in an arc exists solely so luffy can connect to someone who tells him about the horrors of the main villain so luffy wants to beat them up.

And Luffy literally doesn’t know anything Saturn did to anyone

Lol he can't explain what emotional connection Katakuri had. He just brings up a random criteria that isn't even in every arc.

And I'm sure Luffy can hear Bonney screaming about how Saturn killed Kuma.

Cause katakuri was just a minor fight like Mr 3 that fight doesn’t matter.

And luffys not interrupting Kumas fight after he heard that Saturn ruined Kumas life?
