Even though the thread title clearly has Luffy fighting Saturn, they overlook it to complain about statements from months ago.

We knew the "what" and not the "how", thats the difference.

- We did not know Saturn was tied to Kuma's childhood enforcing the rabbit hunt game on God Valley


- We did not know Saturn was experimenting on Ginny and thus killed her with Sapphire Scale

- We did not know he subsequently forced Bonney to have DF powers through experimentation

- We did not know he forced VP to implant a bomb in Kuma before wiping his memories.

3 of these 4 things only occured in the last 2 chapters. The entire paradigm change occured when we learned at how nasty Saturn was being through the last 8 chapters.

You praised this comment from Garp the Fist which included this very paragraph detailing why its is NOW important he falls at Egghead.

One thing’s for sure- the dramatic tension is never going to be this high for Saturn’s defeat again. We just had the ten chapter flashback building up why Kuma and Bonney hate this man and he should be defeated. This is us at peak “fuck Saturn, taks him down” emotional territory. It can only go down after the arc is over. If Saturn survives for another day, he will again be coming just one of five to be defeated. It’s only here that he can be the main villain.

I said from the beginning, there is nothing that ties Luffy to Kizaru.
No scumbag mindset that pisses Luffy off, no ideological differences that puts them against each other.
Kizaru was always just a soldier, just like all other Admirals are, including Akainu.

The whole Luffy vs Kizaru was so forced that it is ridiculously bad how a fight between an Emperor and an Admiral ended up...
As if two kids were fighting over a toy... Saturn was always the guy that Luffy would get mad at and make it personal.
