This is a line that Oda has thrown out in the open when asked about Shanks' sword which he stated is named Gryphon...
But >how does he actually fight? This has been the source of many hakiman Shanks theories.
Until we saw that every aCoC user is a hakiman... So, that's not it. Sword and haki is the most basic swordsman style.
However, Roger is exactly the same. Rayleigh is exactly the same as well. Rocks, if he doesnt have a DF, he is the same too.
>But hoes does Shanks actually fight? Mihawk is not that much different either, except for wielding a different kind of sword.
Narratively, while he can make Shanks, Roger, Rayleigh and Rocks a carbon copy of each other combat-wise, did he do it?
Considering that he is one of the most important characters in the show, he may receive something that would make him different.
A combat style that separates him from Roger, Rayleigh and Rocks. Or rather not a combat style but a unique ability.
What could that ability be? Well, Shanks could have one of the strongest willpower in the show, despite being a casual drinker.
A character who doesnt seem to be wishing for anything particularly and is idling around, having fun with his crew.
But, that doesnt stop him from wishing for something so strongly that he manifested a first-timer ability, as Zoro did with Asura!
Since we know he would never eat a DF he could have wished into existence a type of human evolution, a first-timer DF ability.
Could it be a god-tier ability like Zoro's Demon God? We know earth, rain and forest gods have already manifested before so that's not it.
What ability could Shanks have manifested to make him different than those copies from the past?
Bonus: Considering that Mihawk has an even stronger willpower, what ability could he have manifested?
Anyone has any idea what Shanks could be the embodiment of?
Note: Whatever the ability he may have manifested, it didnt stop him from being a swordsman, just like Demon God didnt stop Zoro.
