Free speech is free speech, Anything else is not that
No mate. I would say that there are four stages to free speech:
- Absolutely no free speech : This is when there is only one narrative possible : Mainly in fascist states or states like North Corea
- Restricted freedom of speech : Mainly in semiauthoritarian states such as China or Russia where freedom of speech is possible but controlled
- Normal Freedom of speech : Where you can say anything as long as it isn't harmfull for other in one way or another
- Absolute freedom of speech : Where you can say everything, even thing that can create conflict or hurt others and where your words are deprived from responsibilities.
This is of course not a scientific observation, I'm sure sociologist have a better way to look at that.
What I'm defending is normal freedom of speech when you are defending absolute freedom of speech.
