Egghead actually isn’t that much farther into the new world. Than Dressrosa seeing how Egghead is just as deep as Wano is in the new world.

Zoro will need to achieve his dream after Luffy becomes Pirate King otherwise Zoro has no reason to follow Luffy into the final war. The straw hats are nakama; however, they are all traveling because of their own dreams too.

To assume Zoros going to go an entire arc with his dream already completed means that Zoros dream is suddenly not important to the plot which is just not the case.

I mean, this just proves that by basic logic, CGs primary purpose is to give Mihawk a purpose to be involved in the fight for One Piece. Before this he was minding his own business. Then he lost his Shichibukai position, then Croc offers him co-leader in his Utopia plan. Then this gets overtaken by Buggy's charades.

This is why I doubt CG will be anything but gags, old villain showcases, and setting up Mihawk to be involved in the main fight when Luffy ends up fighting Blackbeard, Shanks and Akainu.
