I think what bothers me more is Kizaru could absolutely just take care of everything in a few seconds but Oda has had to immensely nerf him where he's limited to doing one thing at a time. And here he chooses to not kill VP, but to stop Kuma from escaping lol. Like why

He SHOULD be able to do all of it in a blink of an eye, maybe he's still trying to not to....

If theres one thing I absolutely have hated about this arc, its how stupidly fast Oda went through Luffy fighting Kizaru, only for it to "end" in 1 hit where it was clear Kizaru wasnt entirely paying attention or giving it his all. Like he was in G5 for max 2 and a half chapters and most of those chapters didnt even focus on their fight. Now we are over 10 chapters beyond that last hit, where Luffy is recovering and Kizaru is back up doing the exact same thing he was doing before.

I just feel Luffy's power limit was so eregious this time because when he ends up using it again, its going to last way longer and make this entire sequence of events look ridiculous, ESPECIALLY if Kizaru actually starts using new moves and fights him for real, or even when you factor Saturn into the mix.

That is true still with the way how story going it don't look like anything like that will happen fighting wise.
Luffy goes in G5 again giant robo wake up and help and out side factors also help them escape.
That way Oda don't worry about G5 limit or fighting aside from clash or 2.

There is absolutely no way the arc does not end with Luffy defeating enemies he intends to defeat, even if hes the only person who gets a real fight this arc.

And rn he has the perfect opportunity too. Everyone besides Saturn and Him on the Marines side has evacuated the island. Its Buster call rn. So lots of Chaos and confusion. He can stab Saturn in the back without anyone watching him at all.
