Just don't also set yourself up for disappointment by expecting a choice character to be important in an arc just because they're in it when in some cases there's 100s of characters in it. It would've been nice if Franky had some character moments in Egghead, but is it bad just because he hasn't? No.

I won’t let it affect my enjoyment, but I can be disappointed that Franky has felt lackluster in an arc based on science and Vegapunk despite him spending 2 years studying Vegapunks machinations.

People just don't count anything that isn't the crew directly 1v1ing someone. Stuff like curing diseases or navigating harsh seas literally does not count even if that is their designated role.

CL¹⁰oda doesn't value those moments either. Half a panel every 50 chapters don't make a character valuable or interesting. Especially if everyone else seems to be navigating the NW just fine with no Nami-level navigator or if a much better doctor, Law, is around you all the time.
