People have different preferences.
Most of the people seems to like Kuma flashback.
But I had enough of Kuma and Bonney and only find them annoying.
I rather have 20 pages of Nika laughing than any more Kuma and Bonney.
I have my criticisms of the Kuma flashback too but don't worry, I think Bonney being the Pacifista queen is the climax of the Bonney/Kuma stuff for this arc. It's pretty morose if you think about it though
Nika has really sour'd the vibes of this chapter to a scary level lmao, I genuinely felt like I was reading the build up to a literal world war reading the last 10 pages

Same goes for the fights too. Post-TS fights got particularly serious in the first half to be fair - and most of them suck! Oda got sick of that and starting with the Katakuri fight he moved things back to the way they originally were. Remember Nika's East Blue fights? I do!
If you've been reading the series for too long, you start to forget that a guy with rubber powers was never cool and serious to begin with. The entire premise of One Piece is this goofy unserious guy beating up villains who take themselves very seriously.
I would say with Don he kinda start back with having luffy goffy in fights cause some people hated how G4 look at first .
Saying it was to goffy or he look stupid or how they can't take that serious etc etc
That's actually funny and made for some sweet memes. The whole idea behind it is Oda wanting his readers to have fun. Its hilarious as well, your humour just needs to be refined.
Anyways the worst is yet to come for this gear 5 thing, the giants worship the sun god, now bonney and kuma seeing Nika as well... the lore will be much bigger in this arc and especially elbaf
