So if Vegapunk "stella" dies from Saturn's injury, does that mean his fruit returns into circulation or will he still count as alive because his brain is detached and presumably on life support?

And if he does count as dead even if his brain is still alive or Saturn presumably destroys his brain anyway, would everyone be okay with Franky getting the Nomi Nomi no Mi? If he did, I can imagine his brain will grow exponentially at Elbaf's library which could give him a whole new assortment of weapons, gadgets and upgrades, and with Law's help, he'll be able to leave his brain there while he continues his journey.

Exactly. Also it was weird to even consider Yamato joining since she appeared so late into Wano while other Straw Hat candidates appeared early in their respective arcs or even way before joining like Robin.
I will not forgive Oda if he do this (as if it matter lol)
It will be like shitting on Luffy for no reason.
Luffy waste so much stamina and energy to fight in Gear 5 form.
How can someone else become Nika and can fight like him ?

Loda writing. But seriously I know your pain, also having two rule breaking cartoonish sun deities running around doesn't leave much room for a lot of originality. But it is a possibility if Bonney can figure out that all she needs to is imagine a future where Luffy is dead and she inherits his fruit.

The only game-changing faction are the seraphims. From what we have seen, we can surmise York's back-up plan was to call the BB pirates. And she has control over those PX.

Jinbe and Zoro are not there to protect Nami and the others, Lafitte and Catarina can free her whenever they want and run amok. The giant fleet would be a great starting point. If they keep attacking the winning side, mutual destruction of the Navy and the strawhats is still achievable. That would be a massive Wafitte moment :steef:

His brains have been doing great without his body, I think it still counts as alive :specialmeh:

Assuming Saturn doesn't destroy the brain too just to spite Vegapunk further in death. But what if the theory some have about eating someone's heart to get their devil fruit turns out to be true, especially since Nika's power is directly tied to the beat of Luffy's heart to boot, then if Vegapunk's heart dies then wouldn't his fruit go back into circulation even if his brain remains large and alive?:luffywat:

Anyway, with that silly notion out of the way, would anyone object to Franky getting Vegapunk's df? I don't think it would affect his design since like I said Law could just cut the top of his head with his power and store his brain at Elbaf and Franky could just make a replica of his scalp so no one notices its gone. Frankly I just really want to see Franky upgrade himself further and finally do away with his back vulnerability. :pepemwai:
