Speculations Captain Eustass's Kid Fate

#21
) Kidd is never going to join blackbeard's crew. His will and belief in his own crew is too strong for him to do that. And blackbeard would never be able to control him. The only scenario I can possibly see with Blackbeard/Kidd, is forming a temporary alliance to target a base, a fleet or something like that, to present Kidd with an opportunity to face Shanks 1v1.

People forget, he was the first supernova to meet Kaido. He easily could have given up and submitted to Kaido. But instead, when facing impossible odds, he decided to fight to the death. Kaido himself couldn't break his will and he respected Kidd's decision because of that.
Thank you for your answer, I enjoyed reading it. I do agree that Kid joining Blackbeard's Crew seems unlikely.

It seems that a battle is building up. Might happen in Elbaf (or later). A battle that would include Shanks, Blackbeard, and Kid. Kid being a factor in taking down Shanks might just accomplish his role as an antagonist.

LInking Shanks to Kid, relates to another thread I posted https://worstgen.alwaysdata.net/for...ole-and-fate-in-one-piece.51429/#post-5116348 on this forum concerning Shanks's Ultimate Fate.

Do you think we might also see Urouge? If I'm not mistaken it has been a while since we heard of him.

Luffy killing kid after kid kills a SH would be PERFECT.
Perhaps Shanks as explained above.

As I see it or Kidd has a change of character and at the very least comes back with a brain or it is better for him to stay dead if he is just gonna headbutt a truck again.
That would mean he would retire to a totally background role. Further, Oda would need to craft a new purpose for him, since he stated he was going for the One Piece before.

*He will go back to a background role. Or stay dead. Now Oda can't keep a million relevant characters so some has to be cut down, Kidd was one of them, Kaido and BM too. He will be back and be less of an edge lord and get just a bit of panel time, if he is lucky he can be a future yonko but the pirate king path has been totally obliterated by Shanks.

Difference between Kaido and BM, and Kid is that the former's role is already finished. They were villains, and now they've been defeated.

Kid on the other hand has continuously been built up as an ally of Luffy's. They allied in both sabaody and wano. His role ending just after wano makes no sense. Kid is one of the strongest members of the worst generation. The fact its called "The worst generation" means that it should be greater than the previous generations. Kid should at least surpass Shiki or Big Mom.

So Kid's role being over doesn't make sense. That would effectively break the worst generation.
Post automatically merged:

Kid's rivalry with Shanks inherently makes him an ally of Luffy's. Shanks is a contender in the race for One piece, meaning literally anything Kid does against Shanks ultimately helps Luffy. Say he beats Lucky Roo or Beckman in Elbaf, or stalls Shanks, that would help Luffy.

Also it would be incredibly easy for Oda to rope Kid into the final war and have him fight Imu alongside Luffy and the other big allies, much like how he did on the rooftop.

Urouge is a mystery honestly...but if he is to return to the story, elbaf would be the perfect time...Only then will we find out what his motives and goals are. And just a side thought, I feel like like he would fit the Kidd pirates crew very well.

I am not sure on who is more done among Kaido, BM and Kidd to be honest.

Kidd and Law defeat after Wano just meant they are not part of the race for the One piece anymore, now only real players are left. Kidd and Law role in that was just to hand over the road poneglyphs to Shanks and BB. Luffy will get stronger than the previous top tiers but Kidd and Law ceiling is emperor level and that is already more than enough for them. They are not in the same boat as Luffy. They could surpass Shiki or BM, sure, but that is the limit.

So Kid's role being over doesn't make sense. That would effectively break the worst generation.
The Worst generation is already over as a whole, all his members are either dead, not so far from it or Luffy's cheerleaders, the only ones left are Luffy and BB for obvious reasons (and Urouge who has better stuff to do).

Kid rivalry with Shanks? Between them there is the same rivalry there is between a boot and an ant. Anyway imo Kidd is 200% out of the OP race, he will never again try to bite Shanks.

Also it would be incredibly easy for Oda to rope Kid into the final war and have him fight Imu alongside Luffy and the other big allies, much like how he did on the rooftop.
He will show ip and fight in this final war but not side by side with Luffy, that is really difficult imo. If he is lucky he could get an admiral or even yonko level fight (really lucky) but Luffy alone will take Im/BB or whoever is the final villain, or at least I don't see Kidd at his side.

Eustass Kid's introduction was meant to portray him as a villain.
I disagree. Alongside Law, Kidd was introduced as an antagonistic rival to Luffy. Not a villain (not that he'd be strong enough to directly oppose Nika anyway)
Eustass Kid is based on Captain Kidd who is said to be the most unfortunate pirate ever to sail the seas. "As the Adventure Galley sailed down the Thames, Kidd unaccountably failed to salute a Navy yacht at Greenwich, as custom dictated. The Navy yacht then fired a shot to make him show respect, and Kidd's crew responded with an astounding display of impudence". Fits the role perfectly!
You nailed it! Oda decided to kill him off since he introduced him into the story. The supernova were essentially forced into the story by Oda's editor so Oda designed a character that can be written out of the story before it enters the final saga.

He was introduced as an antagonistic rival to Luffy and as a villain. He was portrayed as someone who earned his bounty by causing high civilian casualties. That contrasts One Piece's "good" line of characters. Now the point is he has changed? I haven't been convinced so far.

He was so much of a villain that he basically allied with Luffy for a while

Sounds like a certain pirate which made himself a name by ripping out 100 hearts of people and gave them to the marines.

Kid isn't the MC, I don't think he'll ever defeat someone as important as Shanks in the story, but I personally think that he's still alive. I feel that he'll return for the final war and fight a strong foe (an admiral perhaps?).

Akainu, Shanks, Blackbeard, Imu (still uncertain), et al. If they're the main antagonist of an arc (and not weaklings like Orochi or Spandam), they'll be for Luffy and Luffy only, Oda already made that clear.
