Luffy was already knocked out and had to be carried by Zoro even before he reached Kaido . For entire time Jinbei and Sanji were telling him to save his strength for Kaido.

Another thing people always chose to ignore is Luffy lost 2 rounds to Kaido because he didnt figure out how to properly use acoc ( at first round at Kuri he did not even have it or advanced armament and on second round its usage was crude and clumsy )

Once Luffy figured out how to use his acoc properly he matched Kaido for entire round 3 he even matched his Haki by splitting the sky and only got defeated after CP0 guy intervention he was already around his level even before G5.

With G5 he completely surpassed him.

G5 luffy gets clapped by kaido

Oda is a creature of habit, so expect that to continue.
Even in the current arc Luffy needed someone to feed him just to keep fighting Kizaru. It seems it will be this way till the end.

Oda gives Luffy drawbacks, so his fights don't end too quickly. Eventually the drawbacks for G4 and G5 will disappear, just like the ones for G2 and G3 did.

During the Blackbeard fight, all the Straw Hats will have their own fights to contend with. There is not going to be anyone around to be able to help him.

Not really. Kaido can face tank attacks from G5 luffy minus BG. Its luffy's weakness that he has time limit. For example he could have permanently defeated Kizaru on egghead if he didn't have his time limit.

I won't really debate how will battle go that depends on Oda but with G5 Luffy power peak is higher stronger attack power , stronger Haki and ability to tank everything Kaido throws at him.

No need to mention as per manga Luffy did manage to defeat Kaido before running out of gas at G5.

I mean we are talking about hypothetical here. If luffy has time limit which prevents him permanently beating top tiers like Kizaru , then he really hasn't surpassed Kaido. Most top tiers won't take Bajrung gun head on like Kizaru. Kaido is a unique case given his personality.
