But back to topic, shanks > mihawk exists for 3 legitimate reasons.
1. Shanks is a yoncuck whilst mohawk is was a warlord
2. Mohawks title has been heavily implied to be mostly skill based. This notion relies entirely on power being =/= to skill though
3. Shanks has heavy parallels to luffy, whilst Mohawk mirrors zoro.

In all honesty

titles mean fuck all about power and are majority just for show at this point

Mohawk is *technically* still the better swordsman so...

But the luffy, zoro parallels hit hard. I don't see Oda dogging his bois idols that hard and Luffy is just him rn

But Oda made Shanks & WB talk about Mihawk to remind Readers that even with this Yonko Title, nothing Changed
Mihawk is still a Hot Topic among them

And then 100 Chapters Later, still nothing changed
That means for like 12 Years, the Idea of Shanks > Mihawk wasn't even Suggested Once
Never in Manga, Never in Databooks, Never in SBS, it's a Complete Myth

So where did it come from? Simply cuz Shanks is More Popular/Liked & because Mihawk > Shanks ruins Agendas of so many People
Including Zoro Haters, Luffy Fans, Yonko Fans ... etc

Only Argument They use against Mihawk is because He didn't flex his Power on Vista in Marineford, an Arc where if you remove Mihawk, nothing changes, and you know what's interesting?

Oda refused to show us True Power of Garp or Sengoku or Shanks or Beckman or Rayleigh or Dragon ... etc
Basically All CoC Users & Legends were not allowed to show anything, let alone those who weren't Introduced yet
But only Mihawk gets blamed for it cuz in 1000 Chapters, it's the only thing they can use to De-Hype Someone whose Throne was never challenged

For Post-TS, again, no Arc ever added an Information to suggest Shanks > Mihawk
And now We are in Final Saga, We saw Shanks Signature Attack, We saw his Haki, We saw a Movie about him, some Flashback ... etc
And Mihawk still Reserved, He didn't even showcase his Basic Haki yet or any Named Attack or any piece of Information about who He is

Shanks > Mihawk is a Myth created by Fans & Haters.

Add to that in MF 2 Yonko are portrayed challenging all of MF(midhawk included). Notice that both Yonko dnt give a fuck about the multiple top tier on opposition. The same shit that had Midhawk shit himself during buggy speech
