Break Week How can you enjoy Kaido in Wano arc?

The major issue i had with Kaido in the Oden FB and why i think that his actions/ideals directly contradict the other:

- Kaidou/Orochi sneak a spy in Oden's ranks. That spy supplies Kaido with important data about Oden's future actions, naturally giving Kaido an strategical advantage over his enemy.

No matter how u see it, using a spy to prepare in advance to a coming battle is an underhanded method.

- So Kaido rallies up 1000 of his men and has a fight against 9 Individuals. During that fight a subordinate of Kaido uses an underhanded method because of which the fight ends prematurely because Kaido in-or unintentionally used that gab to his advantage to land a cheap shot.

If at that point Kaido just said fuck it, it's Oden's fault for getting distracted, there would absolutely no issue, just like with Blackbeard.

The problem starts when Kaido kills Higurashi, punishes her for using a dirty tactic out of which he took his profit as well which was the win over Oden.

This signals us that Kaido cares about the perception of his own honour before his enemies, but here he's contradicting himself.

If you really feel sorry for ending that fight prematurely than make it fair and give Oden the chance to run it back with u.

Now that would be an acceptable and fair answer. Kaido can't just kill Higurashi, label her as a cheater and he himself faces no consequences for gaining an advantage through that opening that the hag created with her cheap trick.

The contradiction mainly starts the moment Kaido wants to be perceived as honourable in a fight.

And i didn't even mention the 5 years where Oden had to hold himself back to save the lives of the people in Wano.

Kaido still a pirate and doesn't need to give him a chance to run it back. He already lost, but if it was during the fight and he was aware he would. Kaido has no application to run it back.

Katakuri had tons of contradictions. So did Kaido. That's what happens when you get 3 hours of sleep a day and spend 90% of your time drawing random background characters....

You realize characters not being perfect isnt a contradiction right and Katakuri never even said most of the things about himself. Without the flaw in Katakuri character, he wouldn't be one of my favorite characters. He wpuld just be some generic strong guy that never does anything wrong.

This so baseless, how can you say that Akainu can't when he was never given the opportunity to prove it ?

A fact to the matter is that the only Living character in the verse that has better durability feat than Akainu is Kaido, that's it.

Akainu tanked two enraged Gura punches from enraged WB, point blank. You can disrespect Old, sick, heart-attack WB as much as you want, it won't change the fact that even in that state his DC and AP were on top of the OP world.

One landed to the back of Akainu's head and the other to his liver which tilted an island.


Akainu took no noticable damage from that encounter and continued fighting.

Kaido is literally the only alive character that has a better durability feat, so for now, only he gets put above.

A fact to the matter is that the only Living character in the verse that has better durability feat than Akainu is Kaido, that's it.

I think Big Mom durability is up there as well ... her main power is duribality as she is the one with no scars on her body ... unlike other Yonko

you think if Akainu took 10s of Gear 4 attack while not using DF and Haki ... he would be fine in same level of kaido or near it?

Hi, this is not a thread about Kaido or Oden necessarily, but rather my curiosity to find out how you view Kaido as a character and how can you enjoy him. First, I will tell how and what I think about Kaido and then I would try to understand your prospective on that character.

1. When Kaido was first introduced I was so hyped about Wano arc when the only thing I could think about was Wano and Kaido's power and his strength etc. And I wasn't alone an entire fan base just exploded with emotions and expectations about that arc. Thousands of theories have been made over the years before Wano arc, trying to understand Kaido's powers, why can't he die, who is going to kill Kaido, or whether he will die in Wano or not. Kaido was promised to be a beast, not just a beast but "The King of the Beasts" I've never seen a character wanked this hard in one piece and outside of one piece. Then, Oda introduced Jack, the guy was so cool that people thought he was Kaido's right hand man and back then he was an absolute beast, he was destroying everything around he wasn't there just to get Raizo but also to kill and destroy. Jack was bloodlust, mad, Big and fearless everything that defined beasts, seeing Jack attacking two Admirals whiteout glimpse of a doubt or fear raised my expectations for Kaido to unbelievable amount. Then, came Wano...

And all my expectations were shattered to pieces.

Kaido was afraid of Oden, the man was shiting his pants nonstop, Kaido new that he wasn't strong enough to defeat Oden so he and Orochi made up a plan to blackmail Oden since Kaido was shiting his pants just thinking about fighting against him.

If Kaido wasn't afraid of Oden he would have fought against him right there but he was scared as fack and he was perfectly fine with the idea to blackmail Oden. And Look at Kaido's face, he's like really afraid of Oden you could see the fear in his face, just for comparison look at Kaido when he's fighting against Moria and Oden.

This is a face of a man who need new pair of pants, all sweaty, afraid and happy that he survived.

Kaido is scared just by the idea of Oden surviving, he dosen't wanna give him a chance to survive, man, Kaido is a bigger scumbag than Orochi is.

Look at Oden, recovered from his wounds faster than a fack:ng Zoan user when Kaido's body is still cowered with bandages, Oden's body is stronger than a fuck:ng mythical Zoan user's body this is ridiculous, Oden's superiority over Kaido is mindboggling. A none DF user's body is stronger than the body of a mythical Zoan user

After 969/970 I laugh outloud every time I see Kaido, people still view him badass and strong because Oda draws him Big and muscular (at least I think so) at this point Kaido is a laughing stack for me and I can't enjoy his character. So, please tell me what you think about him and how you can still enjoy his character?

Him casually tanking g4 luffy with 0 haki then procceeding to super casually one shot a FM on the lvl of kat/marco. Something no other top tier has been shown doing, even to lesser commanders. Him breaking the heavens and the seas with his clash with bm while at the same time having the shockwaves reverberate even outside of fucking onigashima, which is bigger than marineford mind you or te mobby fucking dick.
Having their fighting make the entire island tremble and having his subbordinates wonder how llong the island lasts if they keep fighting, and this was in base form mind you.

Did kaido from 20 years ago exhibit any of those things? Hell no! So sky breaking no sea shaking nor island shaking.

Yes i do not enjoy kaido in wano, but its for a different reason. Its his nonexistence during the entire arc, its his lack of characterizations(tho last chapters have been helping kinda), its his lack of interraction with the shs/alliance.

Everytime a villain is supposed to fall, he has as much if not more screen time than the mc and also interracts with them a lot. We got none of that, its basically been the scabbards/orochi show. And kaido feels more like a hired muscle atm, thats why i dont enjoy kaido.
Not some stupid childish reason like oh lol he was different back then and got hurt oh noooo.

Everytime a villain is supposed to fall, he has as much if not more screen time than the mc and also interracts with them a lot. We got none of that, its basically been the scabbards/orochi show. And kaido feels more like a hired muscle atm, thats why i dont enjoy kaido.
Not some stupid childish reason like oh lol he was different back then and got hurt oh noooo.

And he was probably as old as shanks is now back then.
You dont continue to grow past a certain age.
