We know Joyboy had Poseidon but did he have Uranus and Pluton as well? The WG definitely has Uranus at least.

Also, we saw Joyboy fighting all the kings by himself. I guess Joyboy got ultimately jumped by everyone, even with ancient weapons against him, and that's how he lost.

Bad choreography for every fight in this arc, idk if you can name a good one
Gorosei have jobbed tremendously, this is the only chapter where they're shown as competent since their introduction as fighters

That's what really clicks for me too. I wonder what caused the different races to exist then?

The fact that Vegapunk said it's unclear which ideals are good or bad back then indicates that the WG wasn't really that evil and corrupted 900 years ago. They definitely had a reason to start this great war. Maybe there's more to that.

It's unclear but they're the founders of the current WG, so I guess some of them were easily powerful top tiers. Plus, Imu was part of them as well and he's probably the only one still living.

Maybe Joyboy and Xebec's/BB's ancestor killed each other and the world concluded that the WG won the war.

But Linlin mostly got this treatment because Oda had no other way to justify weak or mid trio not being washed by her. The wedding cake BS is a prime example when Linlin was nerfed beyond the human's understanding.

Yes but current Celestial Dragons are also descendants of them. We have the Gorosei and Garling who are top tiers. I doubt the WG only has top tiers now.

The giant war back then dwarfed everything which we've seen so far in One Piece. It was a worldwide war to my understandings.
