I am gonna assume the Ancient Kingdom lies somewhere deep underneath the sea.
And God Valley shared the same fate.

Maybe odds are high to even assume the Ancient Kingdom is Atlantis.

天下無双
IMO, giants were the original population of the planet.
There were good giants and bad giants (like: no shit!).
Nika represented all that's good with the giants.

Then came the half-giants, or buccaneers. Some were good and some were bad. JoyBoy represented the best of the halfies. He also inherited the will of Nika, AND had fate on his side. But there were others like Joyboy who either didn't inherit Nika's dream or didn't have fate on their side.

Then comes the current era, with humans, or short giants. Luffy represents the best of this era, he inherited Joyboy/Nika's will(s), AND has fate on his side.
But he isn't alone.
Roger, too, represented the best AND inherited the will, but didn't have fate on his side.
BB is NOT the best, did NOT inherit the wills, BUT fate seems to be on his side.

So every few generations, there seems to be a threeway competition between those embodying The Best for the People, Almost the Best, and the Best for the Self, no matter the consequences on the rest.
D. Clan are descendants of JoyBoy

I still think buccaneers and humans were once the only races on earth. Then when the moon people came their intervention caused the bucaneeers to evolve.

Some buccaneers getting too close to the original power source of the ancient kingdom, what Vegapunk seems to think was an artificial sun, tanned the skin and sun bleached the hair of some creating the lunarians. Other buccaneers who wanted to feel the sunlight through the dense forest of Elbaf evolved to become giants. Then when the first cities were sank in the war; some evolved to breathe water and be able to live beneath the ocean and became Fishman.

Pre ts was overall better
You can’t compare them in my opinion
Water 7 is the best example, every SHC member had their own role, story line and importance
Sanji's solo mission on the train was awesome
Water 7 was great for everyone. I meant just character wise Sanji was more or less the same and the gag was the same. It’s just pre timeskip Oda gave the straw hats more attention in general so they were used for more than just gags and stalling so it felt way less over saturated.
