General & Others Anyone expecting Mihawk to beat Fuji hasnt been reading OP

Throughout the series, Mihawk has always gotten the opposite of what Shanks get from Oda :

1. Shanks gets to be put on equal footing with WB via skyplitting feat and they clash offscreen
  • While Mihawk admits inferiority and his attack doesn't even reach WB at all
2. Shanks makes even Jozu shiver with his mere presence while using CoC and every YC go behind the deck to stay away from his range so that they don't fall victims.
  • Jozu and Vista aren't phased by Mihawk's presence at all
3. Shanks clashed Kaido and stopped him
  • But Mihawk gets stopped by Casual Vista and postpones
  • Mihawk failed to beat marineford Luffy (was actually struggling to land hits)
4. Post TS : Shanks defeats Kid
  • Mihawk ran away from navy fleet, didn't get to do anything much
5. Post TS : Shanks clowns GB
  • Mihawk will probably get stopped easily by a Fuji or even lose ! Or he might fight Fuji 2v1 and still not win.
Oda has never respected Mihawk when it comes to combat feats like he does with Shanks
So no,
No matter rhe WSS hype, Oda won't let Mihawk beat an admiral or look as impressive as Shanks do !

If Fuji fights CG, FUJI coming out with a W or a stalemate !

I have Shanks and Mihawk almost neck to neck in overall power.
Tbh, most of the agendas rise bcz of Lolda's inconsistent power scaling.

WB talks about shanks and Mihawk's legendary duels. This sets the notion that mihawk and shanks were very close in terms of power/skills.

Then lolda goes on to show shanks having a coc clash with WB splitting skies or whatever.

Come marineford, Mihawk tries to test/measue gap or sth with WB which is blocked by Jozu and there comes the agenda.

Trying to power scale in this manga is idiotic yet entertaining. Thats why i'll never take power scaling seriously.
(Yes i got tired midway, not gonna debate on this shit)

Mihawk~Shanks (with mihawk having an edge in pure sword play)

I am sure Mihawk will be strong, but overall respect from th author? Nah, Oda clearly dont respect Mihawk much, he just reminds us that Mihawk exist from time to time, because he needs it from Zoro.

Since Oda won't use him for anything else, he don't bother with Mihawk j til the time comes

He saw Shanks Signature Attack Revealed, Cutting Islands becoming Common, Yonko being Replaced Daily, Admirals are The New Commanders, and then realized that Mihawk is still Reserved, deep down He knows what that means & it Hurts him badly

Now We know more about Joy Boy & Void Century & OG Kings than Mihawk lol
This is what happens when you fail to realize that Mihawk is One of Ten Impossible Dreams

Shanks is Luffy's Koushirou & Roger is his Kuina (Just replace Wado with Straw Hat & replace Enma with Second Straw Hat)
Mihawk on other hand is Zoro's One Piece, his True Power is as Plot Changing as Discovering All Blue or True World Map ... etc

Oda was even able to give Mihawk W and L and the same time (when the marine guy presented him he described him as above shanks but still with lower bounty)

@Salah WG @nik87 the thing is, Mihawk himself said, that Zoro has found a purpose greater than becoming WSS (surpassing Mihawk), which is to help Luffy achieving his goal, which will go beyond simply Pirate King. With Zoro himself also saying on Thriller Bark, that his dream is worth nothing if he can't protect his captain. This implies, that becoming WSS by surpassing Mihawk may be just a stepping stone and that after becoming the WSS, being worthy of accomplishing the greater purpose of aiding Luffy/Nika.

If Zoro first helped Luffy to accomplish everything, Zoro would've fulfilled the "greater" purpose before actually facing Mihawk. On the other hand, if Zoro marched into the final battle/war which will change the world, as WSS already, it would have the intended purpose.

At least, the way the story and Zoro's character goes, it's not 100% clear how Zoro's pursuit for the WSS title will be resolved.

But Luffy also said that He has something He wants to do after finding One Piece
However, We all know that He will simply discover that One Piece Activation & his Secret Dream are One and the Same

So, SHs initially have a Personal Dream & also how They envision themselves after achieving it
But as They progress, They will discover that those aren't just Personal Desires, it's actually what They are Destined to do
And what's needed to be done

So when the time comes for Final Act, the End of the Nightmare
SHs will Discover that They cannot Activate One Piece (Luffy's True Dream which is Responsibility of Everyone as He is their Captain)
Unless They each Accomplish their own Dreams

That means for One Piece to be Activated
Zoro must reach Peak Swordsmanship
Nami must have World Map
Usopp must be Bravest Warrior (Probably lead Elbaf Army)
Sanji must discover All Blue
Chopper must discover All healing Cure
Laboon + Bink Sake Song are needed for it as well
Fishmen & Humans being United is also necessary
Entire History revealed is also needed
Franky's Final Invention is needed

All Nine SHs represent Luffy's Keys to Unlocking One Piece Project
And just like Luffy gonna have a Final Villain standing in the way of his Destined Role
Each SH gonna have an Obstacle that Forces them to achieve these Nine Necessities i just mentioned

Without these Obstacles, those Dreams wouldn't be considered "Impossible"
And without these Obstacles, SHs Crew don't need to be the Crew of Destiny

So yes, Zoro will still have a lot to do after He defeats Mihawk
But this doesn't change the Fact that Mihawk is One of those Ten Impossible Obstacles
(For example, for Chopper's Dream, his Obstacle will probably be a World Ending Disease, and for Nami's Dream, her Obstacle gonna be a World Ending Storm ... etc)

You know what's the reason Luffy's Dream cannot be Fulfilled before his Crew?
It's cuz One Piece Treasure is going to End "Death", however you can't Activate that with People still having a Difficult Life, it means They'd suffer forever, first you must turn the World into Place of Pure Happiness & then you End Death

Sanji will End Hunger
Chopper will End Sickness
Franky will End Transportation Issues
Usopp will End Fear
Zoro will End Weakness (Feeling Weak)
Jinbe will End Racism
Robin will End Ignorance
... etc

And however They gonna achieve these Dreams, They will be put to an Impossible Test, and Mihawk is One of those Tests.

I think this is a reading comprehension problem regarding Zoro's words in Thriller Bark.
>His dream is worth nothing if he cant do at least this much(saving captain's life).
He didn't place his dream below saving captain's life. He saved his captain's life and that is on the bottom compared to his own dream.

Regarding Mihawk's words of a greater purpose, that is true. Helping Luffy to change the whole world is indeed a greater purpose than a selfish power dream. The timeline of beating Mihawk and helping the greater purpose seems arguable but it makes sense that accomplishing the greater purpose is done first, having precedence over selfish dream.

Zoro puts his own dream on the bench to help Luffy achieve the greater purpose first.
Once that is done he goes and fulfills his own.
All this might easily be resolved if we realize that the "final war" isn't a final war.
