To be fair, the Zionists weren’t content with the UN borders either

they wanted more, but just agreed to the UN plan so they could gain more power. But as you can see with the nakba, six day war, and even the actions of current Israel, zionist goals were always on most, if not all, of Palestine.
So it wasn’t going to work lol

Aside from the Peel commission's plan and the partition plan of 1947, I don't know of any other proposals Britain gave, especially not one within a "a greater Palestinian" state.

Here's the map for the Peel's commission plan:

This is true, Zionism was always against the idea of a Palestinian state, and have lobbied against it decades before the Nakba in 1948.

Here is one of the leading zionist leaders in the early 20th century, echoing these thoughts in 1931:
“Surrounded” is probably a better word, regardless it was that he described. Mainly a state around the Jaffa area

that was Monkey D Theories' own partition plan. Your first post implied the UK was gonna create such a state lol

UK did propose a smaller jewish state in their partition plans mainly around jaffa tho, that was my point
Thats what I asked about, tell me about the proposal since its my first time hearing of it. Aside from the Peel comission and partition plan of 1947, I do not know of any attempts of Britain to create a small Jewish state centered in Jaffa's region.

That was the understanding of Balfour's declaration from the first place, that all of Palestine (and Transjordan) was gonna be a Jewish state.

This was a part of the response of the Zionist congress in response to the Peel commission:
  1. The Congress takes note of the findings of the Palestine Royal Commission with regard to the following fundamental matters : first, that the primary purpose of the Mandate, as expressed in its preamble and in its articles, is to promote the establishment of the Jewish National Home; secondly, that the field in which the Jewish National Home was to be established was understood, at the time of the Balfour Declaration, to be the whole of historic Palestine, including Trans-Jordan; thirdly, that inherent in the Balfour Declaration was the possibility of the evolution of Palestine into a Jewish State; fourthly, that Jewish settlement in Palestine has conferred substantial benefits on the Arab population and has been to the economic advantage of the Arabs as a whole.
Never have I ever heard of this plan you're talking about.

The link didn't show up for me when I first read the post.

This was a follow-up on the Peel commission's plan that utterly failed.

The way you phrased it in your first post was misleading. Plan C would only make a Jewish state in Jaffa's until Jews and Arabs would decide what pieces of land they would take. The plan was gonna create mandatory areas that would later join either the Jewish or Arab states.

It reached a point where the British government thought it was mess.
They still brought the plan to both Jews and Arabs, and both rejected the plans. No need to single out Arabs as the ones who declined it. :seriously:

Misleading? not my fault you inserted your own assumptions into my comment/

Because Monkey D Theories was talking about approval, as in they(palestinians) would be okay with a jewish state in the area around Jaffa as the main opponents of a jewish state at all were them. Clearly that wasn't the case.

the Arabs wanted a pan Arab state so yeah obviously they wouldn’t be happy that a Jewish state exists in the Middle East

But if not for the nakba and the occupation there wouldn’t have been a 70+ year long conflict.

the Palestinians only fight because they don’t really have a choice

The nakba was a direct result of the un partition and mandatory palestine civil war. It wasn't the reason for the 70 year long conflict, it is literally part of it

A great analysis in a nutshell as to what type of leader Milei has been.
Dude, most argentinians work for their government. No way in hell a true anarchocapitalist would get elected in Argentina. Milei is a wolf in sheep's clothing imo. He is a guy from the establishment that got elected to make it seem like right wing are nuts. I never believed that guy.

misleading was the wrong word to use there, vague would've been better.

At that point in history, neither the zionist movement nor the palestinians were gonna settle for anything less than all of historical Palestine.

The video talks a little bit about that. If you’re at all interested in the specifics then you should watch it.

My point is just that a lot of the major points of the modern conflict come from the Nakba. That and the 6 day war.

Honestly even after the nakba, I think there was still an opportunity for the conflict to end. But then Israel occupied Gaza and the West bank
