Look how many of them used to care about Kizaru because they thought Zoro would fight him during this arc, but the moment Oda brought the other Elders to Egghead, they started to care less about Kizaru even to the point where they went from hyping him up to downplaying him.

Oda barely focused on King as a character until his fight against Zoro.
