Eh. I don't think Blackbeard or Imu are the real final villain. We know that Zoan Awakenings can overtake the user. Kaido wasn't sure if Luffy was still Luffy when he went Gear 5.

Imu is the puppet. Whatever was in the Fruit Imu ate is Umi, or the true Mother Sea. IE: I think Imu is possessed by the equivalent of One Piece's Demiurge/Devil.

Most One Piece movies have some element to them that becomes relevant later: Film Z had upgraded Pacifistas, Strong World has SIQ, a drug that functions similarly to SMILE narratively, in that it mutates creatures into dangerous animals.

Tot Musica, the Demon King, in Film Red taking over Uta is foreshadowing Imu being ruled by the true Demon King. I'd have to go back and find them but the Gorosei had some really interesting comments on Tot Musica in Film Red, that are WAY more interesting now that we know they are also gigantic demonic entities.

Wouldn't be surprised if the SH have to beat one Imu in Hell and one Imu in Mary Geoise like with Shanks and Luffy's crews attacking Tot Musica from two different realities at once.

This also allows Imu to be a tragic princess character possessed by evil, allowing Oda to make Imu both a hot young woman with giant titties (Perpetual Youth Surgery) as well as have the Demon King possessing Imu have a deep, evil voice.

This is why Imu is "male" but has such a feminine figure. (I believe Imu stole Lili's body using the Ope Ope no Mi, but couldn't control her Mythical Zoan Sea Dragon Fruit, which is why Lili never left Mary Geoise. Then Imu forced Lili, through threats, to use his old body, and the Ope Ope no Mi, to make him/Lili's body immortal).

Yep, its fascinating in retrospect because really no other arc has let the villain win so cleanly. Outside of like 2 or 3 VAs, nobody really got hurt or knocked out. Kizaru and the Gorosei are fine. They killed 5 of 7 VPs. Secured everything, even disabled a ton of Mark 3 Pacifista's that stay on their side.

The only real loss is Saturn not being able to kill Bonney or Kuma, thats basically it.

I think it needs a bit more than that. Let’s be honest, Kizaru was one of the main characters of the arc. For this arc not to affect him at all and him come into the arc and leave the arc the same person wouldn’t make sense imo.

And if Oda wanted to make CP0 leaving a cover story, he didn’t need to leave Lucci conscious nor would he separate Stussy from CP0

I feel her underworld/rocks clone background will be important soon and Lilith is the only other person who can clarify all of that.

Kizaru id love to see at least a few more scenes with him before we have to wait forever for the marines to do something.

They actually proved that Luffy's haki (superior to Kaido) cannot defeat them.
Gorosei are damn strong, anyone who defeats them will have haki above current Luffy.

You’re forgetting this is the same mangaka who gave Enel an entire adventure in a cover story. The stuff you mention imo is extremely out of character of Oda to do

I still really hope Oda doesn’t send Kizaru back to the marines, for this arc not to change Kizarus ideology at all would be pretty bad. Like not only did he have to kill his friend, but he learned the WG has the power to flood the entire world.
