It's also the fact that we saw every single Yonkou fight and get dedicated arcs, and it took Shanks the first fucking swing of his blade to do something they don't do. Everyone passing out as a collateral from his haki leak.

I think the Pluton plot is for Imu. He has a clear post-Shanks build up with Imu(with the posters). There will most likely be a 3 way war between Imu, Luffy and Blackbeard who will each have an ancient weapon

As for Shanks, the build up goes since they were young, with Blackbeard scarring him in the past with Shanks even saying it happened for real, with him not being careless, with Shanks continuously be anxious about him, chasing and looking after all his actions. The Shanks vs Blackbeard will be a 1 on 1 to end that build up
