Honestly, I think that, similarly to Kaido, as it has always happened Kizaru will start to lose badly in the next chapter to showcase G5's power.

The fight will be hard again when Kizaru uses Awakening. Last chapter was all Kizaru hype, next one will be Luffy's until Rogia Awakening arrives.

It’s more that some of them are responding in kind after years of some of the stupidest slander to ever come out of this series.

Not surprising since it lasted even up to the most recent chapters, with some saying that Zoro or Sanji would beat Kizaru alone.

Right now, the desperation is on those trying their darnedest to find the smallest things to downplay because their dreams are falling apart and they’re even deleting accounts (although they’ll be back anyway to complain that Oda is doing it personally to hurt them…)

Since Marineford, I had him on par with Ben Beckman; the guy's portrayal was always fighting against the number 2s:

• Ben Beckman
• Old Rayleigh severely nerfed by age

My only expectation that did not come to pass was Zoro VS Kizaru. Yellow Monkey would have had a better opportunity to shine and have a full match against someone he was almost equal to.

How did it take the entire first round to land the first hit? Kaidou was hitting Luffy even in his dragon form. Don’t pretend that Kaidou had any difficulty hitting Luffy, because he didn’t.

You have Luffy in escape mode, using his maximum speed in Gear 5 with spinning effects and flames, trying to flee from Kaidou. Then, Kaidou catches up to him and hits him, surpassing his movement speed.
