Oda didn't care to resolve Saturn plot on screen despite him being the only elder left at egghead

Kizaru was clearly nerfed and left to do nothing and he was not into any plan beforehand by VP.

Oda brought 5 elders to stop an underwhelming speech which basically didn't do shit to WG despite VP knowing about Lulusia, their plan to kill him and them having ancient weapon.

Bonney and kuma didn't get their revenge and kizaru emotional conflict remain unresolved.

And, the arc ended with another silhouette

Frankly speaking, this arc had content to be wrapped up in just 30 odd chapters.

You can´t compare TBBT to a live action movie like OPLA.
Opla eats much more money, cost more money for CGI and so.
If we could compare these, best example would be the witcher or Game of thrones and not something like TBBT.

The actors wont get younger.
And both GoT and TheWitcher failed, so why OPLA should do it better if in compare something like GoT failed to do?

One Piece brings the cash not from the show itself, but with merchandising.

I've seen SO MANY people who never touched an anime in their lives with OPLA shirts, etc.

You REALLY underestimate how good season 1 was.
Nothing guarantees the success for ages to come, but, right now, it is a massive one and there's 0 reasons to believe it won't keep being produced unless any given season completely tanks it.

GoT survided seasons 5-7 of complete and utter garbage and STILL managed to have a season 8 that the showrunners had already mostly abandoned it because they were already focusing on their promised Star Wars trilogy.
HBO was throwing BIG CHUNKS OF MONEY at them.
HBO WANTED the season to be longer.

The showrunners fucked everything.

And even so, there are TONS of ASOIAF spinoffs in the works.

The Witcher is extremely niche.
It's a high fantasy setting that doesn't appeal to non-fantasy audiences.


GoT was, at the very least, a big ass soap opera that had much better reception outside of its niche.

That's how it should be. Having multiple parties with multiple goals is the reason one piece world building is good. Akainu and marines only goal is to eliminate piracy/evil and they should stick to that.
