Wano I don’t think was planned much at all. It’s clear Oda worked when establishing wanos culture and history, actually one of the few islands with notable historical lore. However, it’s clear he just didn’t know what to do for the plot and seeing how he changed it mid way through the 4 emperors saga to incorporate big mom it makes sense why…

Hence why I am skeptical that he has any solid plan for Elbaf, especially as he himself admitted that he brings pretty much any idea that comes by when writing an arc. And even if he did plan something the execution once again is likely to fail.

The importance this has to the lore of the verse
The inclusion of Saul who was connected to Oharas destruction and likely knows a lot of lore

I think it’ll be good. If Oda lets the straw hats shine, get a bit of development after this “loss”, and expand the world lore to prepare us for the final war then it’ll be a good arc.

Basically Zoro is the guy that kept Vegapunk alive not once but multiple time

First against S-hawk which directly target lilith with an attack that made BB fly for miles

After that he clashed against a top tier (Venus) which aim was to destroy lilith and the sunny

I dont menthin all the rest but the main point was to keep alive vegapunk and Woro is the one that clearly had success

I wish for that, but after these last three arcs, the disasters that were the second half of WCI and Wano, and this arc that failed to reassure me about the path that One Piece is taking, especially this ending, I am not optimistic about Elbaf and One Piece ending.

Yeah, Id say the difference between Wano and Elbaf is that Wano was a culmination of a 10 year storyline, which already invovled like 30 different characters before the arc started. Elbaf is only part of something that started 2 years ago, so there isnt much baggage required from the get go.
