News One Piece: Vivre Card (Data book)-Discussion Thread

The white blade is canon tho
A canonical filler.

Well, tbh I was recently convinced that in the anime they actually put a sheath there, just to buy time and see what happens. In the anime It doesn't look like a sword without the grease and "central line"

Real swords:

It looks much more like a sheath:

But anyway, we saw what was in the manga and we are about to see the VCs

It actually depends on the leaker. Compared to the previous set, the latest Vivre Card characters are highly anticipated. That's why the leakers plan to release them early this time. However, if they don't find any relevant or new information after receiving it today, they might delay the release until tomorrow or the official release date.
Fuck these leakers man nobody asks them to translate anything
Just post the raws lol

Aramaki Vivre Card today/tomorrow?

There is a lot at stake for Mihawk here.

:risitexcla:

As for what is canon, the anime is proven to have more mistakes in terms of coloring as compared to other secondary sources. For blades in particular, there isn't much you can do wrong; they are either white or black and Aramaki's blade in the manga simply looks like a Kokuto, having a black edge.

Bitchkuna died like fodder 😭😭
What a pathetic "villain". He'll forever be remembered as the greatest joke in Manga😭
Turned into a Frog and then turned to fucking shit😂😂
Bait used to be believable

Mihawk Is not even the one that loses much: black blades as a haki feat came in mid Wano, 900 chapter after Mihawk's introduction. Mihawk's real base was the title and always will.

However, the admirals would gain a lot since Oden was unable to forge one and Aramaki doing It would prove that fruitless Aramaki > Oden, let alone full power Aramaki. And since Oden was hyped to the stars, well, very good for the Admirals.

Now some have even Oden above Admirals but if the BB is true, Admirals would be strong and not even close since, again, fruitless Aramaki > Oden.

In the anime yes. In manga a sheath with an hamon?

The problem was black blades being used as a feat to put the wielder above any non black blade user by default, with people putting Mihawk above even prime Whitebeard and Roger.

Aramaki having a black blade would probably just make a black blade more of an armament feat, which would also be a contrast to Fujitora, with Fujitora having honed his CoO to perfection, while Aramaki did the same with armament. But you won't need god level ACoC to forge a black blade.

Sure, but that was always delusional to begin with. Mihawk was not even on par with Old but sane WB, let alone prime WB who was ~ Roger.

Sooner or later that would come to pass.

Overall I agree, I have always had that split (Fuji - God level CoO; Aramaki - God level CoA) in mind. Probably there Is something more, maybe CoC too and maybe CoO too, but clearly, I agree, It wouldn't be (and never was) a strict CoC feat. If It was, Shanks or Roger would have had one.

Still, we are talking of the last hurdle a powerhouse like EoS Zoro is going to have and something even the overhyped Oden failed to achieve.
The sole fact Aramaki managed to forge one, if he has one, put him above Oden as a swordsman, let alone if we add the fruit. And some people don't have Admirals above Oden, let alone fruitless. This would be huge thing.

Oden is most likely a more potent swordsman given his usage of ACoC. Though yes, having a black blade and a top tier Logia which most likely is awakened too, is another story. Aramaki is not limited to his swordsmanship and quite frankly doesn't even rely on it much as it seems. Unless he only draws his blade against people worth it.
