The last members game the game had a currency and two ways of making money was through making vote counts and giving people summaries. You can imagine the chaos that ensues lol. 5 VCs popping off at the same time.

People rigging the system and asking each other to give summaries,etc.
 
that I learned my lesson and important roles should be handpicked.
This should never be the lesson. (Non randomization will cause bigger problems) If anything the lesson should be the games shouldn't have a game defining mechanic solely reliable on 1 or 2 players or that actively should be rewarded more somehow or someone should drop kick Red Night and Melkor lol

I disagree for a game as crazy as Weebs I love me my superman roles.

Not going to be the norm though for normal games though.

Then you should keep it randomized and the chips fall where they do

Handpicking will lead to both sides targeting certain players at will and have extra knowledge on who could be what and that just takes away the goal of the game

I think you underestimate just how much damage game removal did to morale of townies.

I get it, RN and Melkor should have been our lord and saviours but those two simply aren't calibres to be active, follow the game and respond to problems.

Also when you saw RN be afk and not play why didnt you allow me to craft anti-game removal?


Oh i understand TAC's role because i had the same one with Joker in Batman game, but my Joker had clear weaknesses and counters, Joker to the very end was possible to lose the game but Zem played it very well and she managed to win.

TAC's role fundamentally didn't have any counter to it what so ever, and since we didn't have enough invests to know what it is about we couldn't react to it in any way

You can't expect town to play 100% right just to win, that's not how it rolls
I agree.

Iost a bit of interest in playing myself after seeing my abilities getting consistently failed on york.

It was like how such a role can exist who is immune to everything.

Revivals and game removals weren't helping either.

And, just found out zem, rej were detached mafias which means we were just totally clueless because throughout the game I was under the assumption that we have indies and at Max there would be one harmful one (ultra)

I personally believe that every role needs to have clear strength and clear weakness. You can make a role be super strong but have it come at a cost. I'll give an example of one role im working on

Passive Abilities
The HotHeaded Prodigal Son


Dante, a man that from his youth was trained to be apex predator and assassin. His combat skills are legendary in their own right and he himself knows it. On top of it Dante is attuned to any and all manners of killer instinct, often detecting danger before it happens. As such Dante is immune to any kill attempts... but... Dante is known Hot Head, if provoked enough and he looses his temper you will lose this passive for 2 cycles starting from the cycle it fired.

So while the role is strong you have an angle you can exploit that would enable you to kill them. And it feels rewarding when you do it which is what gives boost to players to keep playing more.

I do too which is why every single role in the game had strengths and weaknesses. Kiku was moreso a game mechanic than a role for me.

I probably shouldnt have given her kills (she had 2) and made it so people can cop her so they know she cant do much on her own and to just ignore her but thats about it.
