A question from a non-Brazilian that knows nothing about Brazil and its politics: Do you think that Brazil and its native citizens may come across a major immigration issue down the line?
Maybe even on a scale comparable Europe's migrant crisis?
Maybe even on a scale comparable Europe's migrant crisis?
But...we have around 5 million Brazilians with Portuguese citizenship. Portugal has around 10 million citizens living in its territory and they have an aging population and declining birth rates. The young ones seek to live in other places within Europe too. Some people feel that Portugal could turn into a Brazilian state due to demographics.
There is growing xenophobia against Brazilians in Portugal due to many reasons. Brazilians migrating might be trouble for Portugal, but not for the rest of Europe.
