Big media covers up most of the corruption and scandals that happen in Brazil. You can't find a single documentary about all the corruption that happened under Lula and Dilma anywhere on the web(other then some tiny Brazilian bubbles online).

They keep the status quo that way. NATO doesn't want Brazil and South America to develop. Russia and China don't want a partnership in equal terms either. So Brazil and others South American countries are forced to choose which block to be a vassal too. I wish we were independent like India. A nuclear program would achieve this, but sadly our constitution forbids us from developing nukes. We are doomed to serve developed nations. South America doesn't have a bright future ahead.

I wouldn’t be so sure. Now that the Ukrainian-Russian war started. Trump could pull a risky move like with North-Korea. Putin might believe status quo is better.

Putin started the war under Obama regime and won ,stoppped under Trump's tenure and now with Biden he started again.
